Several “associates” of White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner tell the New York Times that President Donald Trump’s son-in-law was distressed during his Shabbat this weekend.

If even close to being true, these these "associates" are a bunch of gossips and that makes the newspaper a gossip rag.
Oh and incidentally Jesus forbade Christians to ever worry. The reference to Jewish custom is particularly interesting here, as is the assertion in the Christian biblical book of Hebrews “There is now a Sabbath rest for the people of God.”
So much of Christian faith is well known Jewish ideas carried forward into a new context.
I can just hear those yentas. “Ohhhh! Jared was worrrrrrrried!” When they were making it up out of their own imagination.

They're liberal pampered top-tier NYC snowflakes. They might even mean well. But how have Jared and Ivanka's lives prepared them to understand that this is the epic last chance for good vs evil? Whether wittingly or unwittingly, I'd have no trouble believing that they don't fully appreciate what's going on, and are thus a problem in terms of leaks, bad friends, priorities.
Perhaps it’s because they believe in God in a way that actually matters in how they live their lives.

Agree. This is phony. They are putting emotions into his private day. I’m sure they would write about Sean Hannity crying on the floor of his bathroom wearing only boxer shorts all weekend too. NYT is Pure Agenda, not information with any relation to truth.
Yes. It’s getting so obvious they are doing this. Abject lies. At least it is probably patently obvious to the Trump team as well. Still, the deep state and their enemedia are scary when they don’t get their way. Things get rough coughsethrichcough when they get desperate.
That sure sounds like it. We’ve seen the MSM stretch things, but to impute something like that boldfaced to a private religious observance (and celebration, incidentally) sounds like the talk of people who are ignoramuses about God. Neither knowledgeable Jews nor knowledgeable Christians would impute worry to Jared because he stepped out of the spotlight and observed Sabbath alone with family. Haven’t these yacking folks even read the bible?
I believe the good Lord watches assiduously over both serious Jews and serious Christians.
One of the odes that many serious Jews sing on the evening that opens up the Sabbath is one that invites angels of peace, sent by God, to bestow peace.
I guess I could see how an ignoramus world would deduce from this “Oh, Jared is fretful.” Hogsquat. He’s keeping the mood of the entire occasion. Just because he believed it when God said so.

I understood that right away.
A song I loudly sing when my family is late to arrive for kiddush from their rooms. Lol. The angels arrive and see the state of your house on Shabbat, and the saying is, if they find peace and love and observance, they wish “May all your sabbaths be like this.” And they wish the same thing if they see chaos and zero observance. But my voice is not that good so it’s like an alarm bringing them in. ;)
No one spending Shabbat at the Kushners is going to go running to the NYT. Celebrities will also tell you they outright lie in those rags. Jennifer Aniston would have had 15 babies by now if she were pregnant every time they said. The NYT is just another lying fish wrap.

Well maybe it could be done in a little more angelic and peaceful way, if it’s coming out like an alarm clock. Alarm clocks are for work, this is for rest. Go to each door and croon?
I can be sympatico as a Christian to the dynamics of this, because of the way the New Testament works.
Certainly if the blessings of God are spurned, chaos fills the vacuum.
I guess it depends on the specifics of the subject of his happiness. He could speak to both religious systems, reminding many people of both of what they have forgotten.
