President Donald Trumps views on the Paris climate agreement are evolving, his chief economic adviser Gary Cohn told reporters today.
He came here to learn, Cohn said. So his views are evolving, which is exactly what they should be.
The presidents national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, then chimed in to say that the presidents decision about whether to remain in the agreement would ultimately be based on whats best for the United States; Cohn concurred.
The basis for the decision is ultimately going to be whats best for the United States, Cohn said. The future of the United States involvement in the landmark agreement, which the president repeatedly criticized as a candidate, has been a sticking point at the ongoing summit, with the Italian prime minister pointing to it as an "open question" at the day's conclusion.
There is one open question, which is the U.S. position on the Paris climate accords. All others have confirmed their total agreement on the accord, Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni said at the end of the first days session. We are sure that after an internal reflection, the United States will also want to commit to it.
The president is not expected to make a final decision on the accord until after he returns home. But Cohn indicated earlier today that the president was growing more attuned to the European stance on the issue.
"I think he is leaning to understand the European position, Cohn said when asked which way the president was leaning. Look as you know from the U.S. there's very strong views on both sides.

Gary Cohn, the Goldman Sachs, Globalist Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton, also goes after coal to a NYT reporter (coal voters helped Trump win the election) and praises wind (when Trump has complained about windmills), saying:
"Coal doesn't even make that much sense anymore as a feedstock. Natural gas, which we have become an abundant producer, which we're going to become a major exporter of, is such a cleaner fuel."
"If you think about how solar and how much wind we've created in the United States, we can be a manufacturing power house and still be environmentally friendly."

From what I have read, Trump's Administration has been split on the Paris Agreement with Ivanka/Jared, Cohn, and Tillerson supporting it. Bannon is opposed, and Rand Paul and 21 GOP Senate colleagues have written to Trump asking him to leave.
Trump is facing pressure as the other European countries, the Pope, and even his own advisors (sounds like globalist Gary is a ring leader) are imploring him to stay in. My hope is that Trump maintains what he ran on.
Hopefully, he’s evolving to a clear understanding that it’s all a HOAX.
Exactly, he might just evolve himself out of a job in four years if he doesn’t realize that!
Here we go. When a Republican “evolves” on an issue, it means they have gone left
Oh Jesus.
I am baffled why he brought on a Democrat who voted for Hillary as his advisor. Notice the media never goes after Gary Cohn.
Ping.
dont get squirrely on us Donald....
Another story out today says he did not change his mind. So which is it?
My willingness to give him a second term can “evolve” as well.
This story has direct quotes from Cohn. I haven't seen the other story yet.
Our side needs to mock this absurd theory...MAN CANNOT CONTROL THE EARTHS CLIMATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!....i remember coming across this stuff 25 years ago while reading and studying about severe weather...cant believe how mainstream it ended up becoming.
MSM bait.
President Donald Trumps views on the Paris climate agreement are evolving, his chief economic adviser Gary Cohn told reporters today. The way the quotes are positioned in this article causes my Spidey-sense to tingle. He came here to learn, Cohn said. This has been reported on about 100 news outlets...it is all over the place beginning Friday morning at 7 am. It has not been refuted, so it appears true.
My suspicion is that Trump actually listens to people and asks intelligent questions...and that this guy mistook that for starting to agree.

“Coal doesn’t even make that much sense anymore as a feedstock”
Words that only make sense to globalists.
Cohn doesn’t sound like Trump. Most surrounding Trump don’t sound like him at all.
