The Republican won by 71% last November, so the naked guitar player is toast

Custer County is smack in the middle of coal country.
I don’t think Quist even bothered to campaign there.
Hell, I don’t think he could find the place....

He’s also saying that if they can’t pick up a real victory in Georgia 6, then the moral victories are worthless.

G with 14,000 lead, 50-44%, 45% in, all red areas left.
He may hit 10% yet.

Nate Silver says that if GG doesn't win by +8, then it's actually good news for Dems. LOL Ah yes, The French strategy, win by losing.
If he doesn't win by +9 points they will be saying the same thing, +10 etc etc.
Always moving the goal posts.

Custer County is smack in the middle of coal country. Is it the kind of place that would appreciate a guy performing music with only a guitar covering his junk?

Speaking of Georgia 6, I got this e-mail from Handel’s campaign claiming that they were trailing by a few points.
Don’t know if it’s true or not. But if the Dems win the run-off there, we’ll never hear the end of it from the MSM.

Guess Gianforte can swagger into Washington and tell the media to stand back.

Did you follow the New York Times on Presidential election night? It was the best coverage bar none. I was on the NY Times site and my husband and his friends were watching Fox and they were sweating it out and I knew that Trump had won at 10:30. They called all the states, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, etc. and the election. It was a really great interface and very interesting with their precinct analytics.

I see this every election.
If a Republican is ahead by 5% with 80% of the vote in, it's "too close to call."
If the race is tied with 9% of the vote in, they call it for the Democrat.

Handel surely has her work cut out for her trying to unite those dissident Republicans into one campaign.

therefore the Republicans are doomed in the midterms, unless they reject and stymie every effort that Trump proposes
The sad thing is that most of the repubs in DC will believe it.

I am waiting for the line that if the Dems hadn’t nominated a flake like Quist who played guitar at nudist camps and had some bad debts, they would have won. But they will say that nonetheless, the nude guitarist got __% of the vote, proving Trump’s unpopularity in red Montana.
