Missoula = university town, Billings is largest city in the state and the only one with population over 100K. This is a rural election.
Official SoS site is now ahead.
Gianforte up 9,200
I have election night recorded and saved for prosperity. Well, FOX News coverage anyway.
It was a great night.
I was texting back and forth with family and friends and they all thought I was crazy for calling it so early, but the next day I collected big on bets.
Lib antics getting ‘slammed’, again!
Big chunk of votes just came in:
Greg Gianforte (Republican) - 49.9% - 119,188
Rob Quist (Democratic) - 44.3% - 105,796
Mark Wicks (Libertarian) - 5.7% - 13,655
238,639 Total Votes
I have watched election night coverage about once a week-——since November.
One broadcast was entirely from The Javits Center-—where they all watched the election on big screens——CNN,of course. It was quite humorous to watch the faces of the crowd change expressions.
Instant pick-me-up.
.
Greg Gianforte (Republican) 49.9% 119,188
Rob Quist (Democratic) 44.3% 105,796
Mark Wicks (Libertarian) 5.7% 13,655
Generally with Montana elections, the Democrat areas tend to report first, so the Democrat usually should be ahead in the early going. If it’s a near tied race in the first quarter of precincts to come in, it’s usually a good sign for the Republican candidate.
As of now, Ginaforte is at 50 to 45 percent. Hard to see how Quist makes that up.
Wow!
Continuing to pull ahead.
UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE UNEXPIRED TERM
Precincts Fully: 87 / 681 Partially: 317 / 681
GREG GIANFORTE Republican 49% 110,364
ROB QUIST Democrat 45% 100,043
MARK L WICKS Libertarian 6 12,862
total votes 223,269
We and I mean We all have not won this yet...........still praying Greg “the slammer” pulls this one off
I love to watch the last 2 hours of that election. I haven’t watched any other than Fox, but I’ll bet the others are just delicious!
If G wins you know they’ll blame Trump for encouraging violence even though I haven’t seen any video yet showing himwaving his middle finger, looting a store, or lighting cars on fire.
Most of Eastern Montana is “small” population counties, Energy (Coal, oil, gas, coal-fired power generation) Centers and lots of ranches and farms that have spent the last eight or ten years absolutely suffering under the Obama Regime.
May not be that many voters out East, but I’d be shocked outta my Jockey shorts if Gianfonte doesn’t win everything East of Billings by 3 or 4 to 1 margins. Or a whole lot more.
Just some of those good folks telling the ‘rats to stick about thirty feet of drilling (or irrigation) pipe up their a$$ and twirl on it.....
It’s as much fun as the 1980 election.
I wish the Libertarian would stay out of it.
There’s enough percentage there to make it a slam-dunk for the Republican.
And if he is not a Rhino, then I’d want him elected.
Do you have the link to the Javits center video of election night?

Your count is very outdated.

Every time I need a good laugh I put it on at YouTube. It is a real education to see what the networks present as “balance” - the token Republicans were people like Stuart Stevens, Steve Schmidt, Frum, William Kristol, all of whom showed an even greater hatred for Trump than the Dems did. Carville on CNN was actually very realistic, looked at it as objectively as he could have, but didn’t have his fangs out dripping like the dogs.
