Throughout the 2016 Republican primary, Donald Trumps opponents and most mainstream media were certain he would self-destruct. After he won the nomination, they were nonetheless certain his campaign would implode, and that Hillary Clinton would win the general election in a landslide. I was one of the dissenters who recognized early on, and explained in great detail throughout 2016, that Trump was probably going to be the 45th president of the United States. Since his inauguration it has grown increasingly apparent that, rather than having learned some kind of lesson, Trumps erstwhile opposition remains as closed-minded and overconfident as ever. Just over 100 days in, and its already considered a virtual certainty that the 2018 and 2020 elections will be a bloodbath for the president and his party (if he even makes it that long, am I right?). Here are four reasons to believe that the popular consensus is, once again, dead wrong. Trump will probably win re-election in 2020, and his party will likely retain one or both chambers of Congress at least through 2022.

Well that sucks as the story looks to have been pulled by MW.

Number one reason:
Michigan is losing electoral votes, but that won’t reflect from the 2020 Census. Texas is gaining 3 EVs. Calif 1.
Be that as it may be Michigan is losing population. They aren’t leaving the farms. They are leaving Detroit.
Trump is an alpha male. Women want it. Case closed.
2020 is a no-brainer IMO. we should be focused on 2024 and who the guy guy is to finish what Trump has started. The goal, remember, is the restoration of our free constitutional republic. The right person will have to be ready, willing, and able to fearlessly and relentlessly reinstate the Constitution, as written and originally understood and intended, as the supreme law of the land by taking down the remaining 80% of the unconstitutional portion of the federal government.
This in turn would send hundreds of thousands of federal officials, bureaucratic heads, and workers home packing without a job. Don’t feel sorry for them. America will rejoice, recovery will be nationwide, these will soon find jobs, and the economy will take off in an incredible and unprecedented boom of freedom and wealth.
All TRUMP has to do is give out goodies to people in PA, WI & MI
We just need to win 1 & also IA & TRUMP’s POTUS again!
My rant a little while back why the Dems will not take the House and Senate in 2018 is here:

I can think of only one issue that the Dems can run on that will attract White Working Class voter and Blue Collars in OH, PA, MI & WI and other states suffering from the same issue(s). What is it? LOL! Noooooo, I am giving it too them!!!
He hasn’t even been president 5 months. What are predictions now worth? Did people think that it was likely that Pres. Obama would be elected in 2010?
The democrats have NOTHING to offer. Except tax dollars that is. They are miserable. They are angry. The only answer to opposition is “that’s racist, bigotted, misogynist, etc.” They are violent. There is nothing inspirational or optimistic about them. For all his faults DJT is optimistic, proud of America, loves people, and is enjoying himself. Most people are drawn to cheery people. The only time anyone saw Hillary “cheerful” was when she realized she was going to get away with all her crimes.
It’s the economy, stupid. If the economy continues to chug along, especially at a clip better than Obama’s, Trump will win in a breeze. If it nosedives, Trump’s whole meme as a “successful businessman” dives with it.
In 2020 - Trump will win the same states plus he’ll add New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Virginia.
It’ll be a landslide!
You mean, 2012? 2010 were the mid-terms.
Reason #5:
California will be in play after all of the illegal Mexican voters have been deported or move out of state on their own.
