The brother of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich wrote a letter on Tuesday to the executive producer of Sean Hannity's Fox News show pleading with him to find "decency and kindness" in his heart and stop spreading an unproven conspiracy theory about the unsolved murder.
"As the family, we would hope to be the first people to learn about any such evidence and reasons for Seth's death," he added. "It is a travesty that you would prompt false conspiracy theories and other people's agendas rather than work with the family to learn the truth."
Rich was shot to death last July in the streets of Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate.
But for months, right-wing media outlets have floated unproven theories that Rich was the person who provided Wikileaks with thousands of internal DNC emails, and suggested his death was retribution for the supposed leak.
The theory resurfaced with a vengeance last week, in part due to a Fox News story the outlet has yet to retract. Hannity and other Fox News personalities seized on the story and have pushed the theory.
Brad Bauman, the Rich family spokesman, told CNN on Monday that Hannity had not reached out to the family. Hannity did, however, reach out over the weekend to invite Kim Dotcom, the Megaupload founder, on to his program.
Dotcom, who is currently in New Zealand fighting extradition to the U.S., where he is wanted on charges of copyright infringement and money laundering, has claimed to have evidence Rich leaked documents to Wikileaks. Dotcom has not replied to CNN's requests for comment, but said in a statement posted to his website Tuesday that he would be willing to work with authorities.

They know there’s evidence they can’t destroy; all that’s left to do now is circle the wagons and pray to satan for delivery.
It was my operating hypothesis before today that this was done outside of the government (even outside the deep state or more shadowy groups) and run more like an organized crime hit, more in the vain of how the DNC layered and buffered their communications and transactions with groups that would hire street thugs to disrupt political gatherings, even though Hillary still had deeper connections last summer than she or the DNC obviously would have now. But if these people are being contacted now by representatives of political bosses and their interests and being strong-armed, threatened, or given illicit promises of future reward, then I would think that agencies of law enforcement and justice department could offer protection for them.
When the family immediately dismisses Sean’s factual reports as “conspiracy theory” when it clearly is NOT, you know the family has been threatened and/or bought off.
I would suggest that in the future when the DNC needs to
neutralize one of their own that first they research the
party loyalty of the offender’s next of kin. If the
family is sufficiently loyal then the DNC should remind
them that curiosity is not necessarily a good thing should
something bad happen to a loved one with DNC connections.
Oh, so now we have to be considerate and respectful of the family?
Just another new rule post-Obozo, that sure as hell didn’t apply to the families of the Benghazi victims of HRC.

I heard Hannity spend a good amount of time on his radio show yesterday in personal support and prayers for the Rich family. Hannity doesn’t know what happened to Seth. But he believes it was not a robbery that went wrong. He had all kinds of people on his show, law enforcement, etc, and they all agreed this was no typical robbery, and that it was in fact and evidently A MURDER.
He also believes after listening ad infinitum to the Assange interviews that Assange ALL BUT ADMITTED Seth was his source for the DNC emails. He asked all of these expert guests as well, and most if not all agreed that Assange came extremely close to saying Rich was his source. He came as close as one could while not saying it.
And when Hannity turned to speak of the Rich family, and express his support, heartbreak, and prayers, he felt he was treating them as he would want to be treated had it been Hannity’s son: he is HELPING where few else are to FIND THE KILLERS. He wants to help find out the truth.
So screw anyone saying Seth is using the Rich family’s sorrow to make a buck. HANNITY HAS BUCKS. Right now at least his tv job is HANGING BY A BLEEPING THREAD. Hannity is risking a lot to get to the truth. And he ain’t doing it for money. Money matters less to Sean than you might think.
Good question. Is the Rich murder considered closed in some way by the PD? Is it still open, kicked upstairs to another law enforcement source? Why? Why was Rich a VIP in the hospital?? Why won’t anyone say anything about the legal status of this “botched robbery” if it was just that????
Someone should see if he needs help. Blink once for yes, twice for no.

Sean is saying right now that it is not true he hasn’t spoken to the Rich family.
It doesn't matter a whit what Seth Rich's family and friends think. It's not for them to decide. All avenues should be pursued in the investigation of Seth Rich's murder. Let the chips fall where they may. Comet Pizza? Podesta Brothers? Spirit soup? Leroy Hakim Brown?
The Rich family is acting a lot like the friends of Andrew Breitbart acted. Scared.
One thing we have going for us is the principals in this murder do not feel secure discussing it except personally in an underwater meeting room. Every new piece of evidence found that they didn’t foresee sends them scrambling back together to re-evaluate their story.
They should be very findable as a group right now.
Was Seth Rich a Hillary supporter?
It seems to me that he was likely to be a Bernie supporter -- upset with big money and corruption in politics. Upset with the establishment politicians who stopped real change from happening. Ready to raise hell and get some rabble-rousers into Washington.
If my kid was like that, and if the news came out that the DNC had stabbed Bernie in the back, and if someone said my son was in a position to reveal the dirty, inside workings of the DNC. And if my kid ended being oddly murdered ...
I'd want to know why. It's very odd that his family is protecting Hillary's people.
That's me too........But then again, we're not of the Democrat mentality are we?
