Sorry but no American President should validate the vile corrupt Saudi regime. The Saudis protect, nurture and support the bizarre Wahhabi who have motivated, molded the consciences and gave purpose to not only the 9/11 terrorists but the barbaric Islamic jihadists, suicide bombers and those who violently suppress human rights. The Saudi “royals” not only supported the terrorists but the Saudi government was aware and did nothing to warn the Americans. Lost much respect for the President. No real good will come from this visit or dealings with these backward thugs.

Ignoring the Saudis won’t make them go away.

Insulting them won’t make them go away either.

Like it or not, they are a power on the world stage and have to be dealt with. And it’s better to make them respect you than have contempt for you, like they had contempt for Obama.

Trump’s first salvo seems to be directed right at the Muslim world, essentially telling them, ‘You are better than you think you are.’ Islam is a religion of violence and despair, but Trump gave a message of hope and determination.

Bush and Obama were all, ‘Muslims are awesome just they way they are’ while taking enormous sums of money.

Trump is like, ‘I know you can be better. We’ll help you if you’re willing to try.’

It’s the difference between giving a D student an A to make him feel better and tutoring the D student to help him earn that A on his own.

Could you provide some actual proof or even a real explanation of this? I know it's a theory, but attacking Trump over some speculation is a bit much, when he has our larger interests in the region to look out for, including supporting a counterweight to Iran (the "death to America and Israel" country seeking out nuclear weapons). After all, Osama bin Laden made it openly clear that he wanted to bring down the House of Saud, because he did not think they were worthy of being the keepers of Mecca and Medina. He was directly threatening the lives and power of the Saudi leaders, so why would they support him privately?

More recently, Al-Qaeda off-shoot ISIS has been threatening the leaders of Saudi Arabia, wanting them out of the way for their united theocratic Caliphate. That's why Saudi Arabia has done so many bombing raids against ISIS. Of course, many Saudi citizens promote terror, even Al-Qaeda and ISIS, but where's the evidence that the Saudi leaders knew that their enemies in Al-Qaeda were going to attack their ally and biggest military protector, the U.S., but did not warn us?

What world do you live in? Oil is the lifeblood of capitalism and you deal with those who will sell it to you and that is the Sauds. Must be nice up in that Ivy Tower.

Validate?

He threw the ball directly into their lap.

YOUR countries MUST do this: America will NOT do it for you.
