Like it or not, they are a power on the world stage and have to be dealt with. And it’s better to make them respect you than have contempt for you, like they had contempt for Obama.
Trump’s first salvo seems to be directed right at the Muslim world, essentially telling them, ‘You are better than you think you are.’ Islam is a religion of violence and despair, but Trump gave a message of hope and determination.
Bush and Obama were all, ‘Muslims are awesome just they way they are’ while taking enormous sums of money.
Trump is like, ‘I know you can be better. We’ll help you if you’re willing to try.’
It’s the difference between giving a D student an A to make him feel better and tutoring the D student to help him earn that A on his own.
Sadly you are ignoring 1200 years of actual deeds, history, philosophical foundation and ongoing reality. The Wahhabi are not an Islamic aberration. They reflect the very beliefs and attitudes that are the foundation of Islam. Politically correct posturing and tolerance of these bizarre ideas are at the heart of Western delusion. Such delusion makes the West very vulnerable and weak. However over the past fifty years the West itself has changed and has made itself vulnerable to barbaric people of purpose. The West has entered a post Christian neo pagan era of decadence. Widespread unrestricted abortion, the acceptance of open homosexuality and its permutations, earth and celebrity worship, fornication, drug use and pornography are now common acceptable behavior. Deluded superficial epicureans , without ideals or real virtue, are very vulnerable physically and psychologically to purposeful fanatics. It is no accident that Barack Hussein Obama, who made no secret of his agenda, was elected less than 8 years after 9/11. It is no surprise either that so many Westerners suffer from a collective Stockholm syndrome and embrace those who will eventually and without pause kill them. So much so that they shout at the rational and accuse them of “Islamophobia”. They almost elected Hillary Clinton. There is an ideological vapidity in the West that makes it very vulnerable to destruction. Donald Trump is no Ronald Reagan. Reagan had a clear ideological grounding and while always civil and polite, did not forsake it, allow himself to be governed by polls or whims and was ultimately very successful.
