The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the 109 year old civil rights organization, will not renew the contract of its president, Cornell Brooks, and will "recast" its mission by conducting "a systemwide and strategic revisioning process that will ensure that the NAACP can address these 21st century challenges."
Reading between the lines isn't difficult; the NAACP will become more like Black Lives Matter and less like a mainstream organization dedicated to advancing the economic interests of blacks.
Reuters: Russell said the process might take a year, during which the group's board would gather comment from members nationwide about the NAACP's future course.
The NAACP has been a leader of U.S. civil rights since its founding in 1909. Its pre-eminence has been challenged by the Black Lives Matter movement that sprang up to protest police shootings of African Americans in recent years and by mass protests against President Donald Trump.
Johnson said the group wanted to strengthen local and state activism and education and develop local leadership.
...Any "revisioning" of the NAACP will be led by radicals who don't care as much about improving the lives of black people as they do pushing their hysterically exaggerated notions of "justice" and "police brutality." The NAACP tried to work through the courts and the Justice Department to hold police accountable. BLM wants to take to the streets to threaten violence to get what they want. This is not a subtle shift but a radical departure for an organization that, for more than 100 years, has fought for civil rights within the mainstream of American politics.

Good luck with all that.
Grifters Gotta Grift. It’s what they do.
There’s a lot more cash in teaming with BLM and shaking down whitey, versus actually DOING anything to help blacks.
Sadly, this confirms my already adopted opinion of the NAACP.
IT IS the racist organization I had come to recognize it as being.
BLMM - Black lives matter most.
That’s the message they are sending me. It may be inadvertent but then again, it may not.
Civil rights are so last century. Mob rule for thugs is the way to go.
They have gone full bore racist.Just like La Raza.
That last line is true.
The NAACP is following the lead of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party resisted for a long time the desire of many in its ranks to follow the marching orders of those in the party descended from the radicals of the 1960’s (Themselves descended from the leftists of the Roosevelt and Truman administrations who, when not actively assisting communists in their penetration of our government, turned a blind eye to it). That wholesale turnover began in the Seventies, accelerated in the Eighties, and was pretty much done by the Nineties, with the epitaph or the old Democratic party written and the tombstone planted by Zell Miller at the 2004 RNC. Zell Miller turned out the lights when he left.
This is what I see at the NAACP, just on a shorter schedule and with a more racist, radical and violent “leadership” taking over.
Face it Black “leaders” have openly embraced the nihilism of the Left. Those that are foolish enough to follow will have a life filled with alienation, ignorance, misery, poverty and incarceration.
Sad, So far from its roots.
It is now an organization dedicated to evil
It is time to recast the word that the N stands for
Essentially confirming they are the black version of the Klan.
They already dress like ISIS at their gatherings, might as well list them as a terrorist organization.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!
The DNC, SLPC, MSM and now the NAACP are moving to the extreme, radical Left.
That move will alienate them from the average voter, and they can kiss national office GOODBYE until they put their masks back on.
For half a century, that I know of, they have failed miserably in the "Advancement" part of their acronym. Of course, advancement rarely ever fit in their model. Advancement was never the issue.
Who knows what 21st century challenges include, other than violence. The minorities that really advanced did so after shunning any and all recommendations of the NAACP.
No doubt that will continue to be the case in the 21st Century.
How did a Jewish started organization become such a monster? maybe i shouldn’t have asked that question.
For thirty-odd years, it’s been a dying organization. It represents only a core group, and has very little connectivity to a culture at large that it says it represents.
National Association for the Advancement of Colored Terrorists (NAACT)
Call it what it is black ISIS.
> Reading between the lines... <
I’m no fan of today’s NAACP, but to be fair, that’s how fake news gets started.
We see that when Trump says something. Someone in the media “reads between the lines” and then attributes to Trump something he did not actually say. Then they go on to bash Trump.
It’s wrong when it’s done to Trump. And it’s wrong when it’s done to the NAACP.
A lucky convenience for the rest of us.
Now there’ll be no need to play differentiating games between the street violence and political wings of the Black Insurrection when it comes time to put it down.
