Your first statement is correct. But you were probably thinking the narrative should be tax reform or something like that. I think a better narrative is to harp on the Russia thing. Tweet about it every single day. Make the media talk about every day. It's a perfect foil because it wastes all the enemy's time at no cost. That's because there's nothing there and the American people know it.
There was (1) Obama using the national security apparatus to spy on political opponents and (2) a policy dispute over whether Russia should be an enemy (neocon preference) or an ally against ISIS (America-first preference).
Those two things are the only facts in the case. After 12-18 months and millions of dollars spent on investigations, we will be left with just those two facts.
Grassley needs to do just that.
I don’t think they’ve found anything....it IS the very grinding, stalling and digging that is ‘the weapon’ that they’re using to grind down this Presidency and it’s administration....not to mention the public who is fast now sick of the entire mess the libs have created.
The lengths they are going to, with no regard for how it makes them appear just evidences to me there are “many” who stand to loose everything if this can of worms spills out....and they will continue to create whatever confusion and tie up the courts and committees to prevent their criminal activity from being fully revealed for all that it is.
All it takes is one. Just one congressman or senator to get Comey to answer the right question and he’s finished.
But he’s already killed himself. I don’t care who he’s friends with. He’s finished. Either he totally clears Trump, or he’s guilty of obstruction. No middle ground.

Name one who would put his political career on the line to do so? .....Further even Comey would certainly settle to be regarded as ‘an obstructionist’ rather than clear Trump...he’s got lots just like him who will welcome him into their club.
Comey may indeed be finished in the eyes of the public and us here on FR but does he care or would that even concern him? Not a bit....
The political stage this entire thing is being played on has no use for the American people outside of elections......it is their game, played on their field....we are simply the audience.
No, you’re not getting it. Comey as “obstructionist” goes to jail under Mueller. Mueller will not fool around. These special prosecutor types don’t fiddle with anyone.
And Paul, Cruz, a half dozen other senators will get the right question out.

Unfortunately, I think we are getting close to the time where the military may well have to step in. I don't think either party can be trusted to do the right thing at this point.

Well I sure hope you’re right....but in all these years I have yet to see any politician go to prison for anything.....let alone someone like Comey......I don’t believe for an instant he would risk this hearing if he thought there was even a chance he’d face prison.
Yes I would expect Cruz and others would certainly know how and in what way questions need to be asked to get the answers they’re seeking. And we also know from past hearings that Comey is very good at dodging or simply not answering in the way he knows they’re looking for....
As for Mueller....just another cog in the wheel....

So with all this stuff going on in the press......who have made themselves now the story...AGAIN....I’m not exactly up to par it seems. Angry one minute...sad the next...not a good combination.....
Ted Cruz called it that way back even before the election too....though he gave it another name it was the same nonetheless.
They aren’t hiding anymore because there’s too much so many will loose in every way if the lid actually gets blown on Hillary and Obama. They’re fighting for their crooked way of life no doubt.......years in the making they are going to fight to the end without question...$$$$$$$ to loose, investments..reputations....and potential jail.....and they’ll take everyone with them when they drop....so this is not going to stop anytime soon....UNLESS someone has the guts to really open this can of worms......which has International leaders covering themselves as well.
WOW! A news article with actual, checkable, sources. Only question I have: will Comey be under oath? If not, this whole hearing is worthless. A waste of our taxpayer money.
Prior to his firing, I heard that he chose to testify to congress in open session so he could claim classified and not answer...wonder if he can do the same now that he has no security clearance...Guess he will plead the Fifth instead :(
