Huma Abedin reportedly filed for divorce from Anthony Weiner Friday, hours after the disgraced former congressman pleaded guilty to sexting a minor.
Abedin, a long-time aide to Hillary Clinton, first separated from Weiner in August 2016, after learning of allegations that her husband had sent explicit photos to a then 15-year-old girl.
Earlier Friday, a tearful Weiner pleaded guilty to sexting a minor, apologizing in court to the teenaged victim and blaming his own "destructive impulses" for the prison time that now awaits him.
The New York federal judge accepted Weiner's admission to sending sexually explcit texts to a minor across state lines, and Weiner agreed to not appeal any sentence between 21 and 27 months in prison. He also must register as a sex offender.

Weiner is and always has been a punk. He was a punk when he was a freshman congressman making inflammatory speaches and before we knew about his creepy personal addictions. I will enjoy seeing him in an orange jumpsuit.
He’ll go to some cushy prison where he has a ‘puter
and wi-fi, and continue to play virtual Hide-the-Wiener with gullible young girls.
When it’s all said and done, he’ll get a fine and probation. If he has the IQ of a carrot, the coming civil lawsuit by the girl’s parents is what is scaring the pants off him. Since Huma is still married to this fruit-basket, all that hard-earned Hillary money is fair game and Hillary is the only one she has pull with that can make that go away. Huma’s back with Hillary, that tongue of hers had better be working overtime.

What I’ve never understood is how Huma could’ve been married to him in the first place, let alone have a child with this creep.
Her family is deeply entrenched in The Muslim Brotherhood, and I’ve always assumed she’s Muslim. And she married a Jew?
I guess that religion has a, ‘rules for Thee and NOT for Me’ clause in it? Shouldn’t she have been stoned to death or something?
My reaction when I saw this was:
“NOOOOO! Weiner, don’t go soft on us!!!!”
At least Hillary can dine now without getting a bad taste in her mouth.

This is all very dramatic and sad, but it wouldn’t surprise me to discover the two of them are still living under the same roof together. Some spouses will remain with their partner in marriage no matter what has been done.
One reason may be that the non-criminal spouse may feel forever tainted by their connection to the crime, and that no one else would want them anyway. So why not stay married, even if in name only?
An extreme example lies with Gloria Chapman.
Gloria Chapman is the wife of Mark David Chapman, the man who killed John Lennon back in 1981.
They may still be married today. In 2014, the New York Post had a short article entitled; Wife of John Lennon’s killer visits him for prison sex and pizza.”.
Since this was crossing state lines, it was a federal charge not state.
