A South Florida university awarded an honorary degree to Trayvon Martin, Saturday.

Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, took the stage at Florida Memorial University’s commencement in Miami Gardens to receive a posthumous bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science on their son’s behalf.

Fulton and Martin said the ceremony was bittersweet, and now they’re passing on an inspirational message to Trayvon’s fellow graduates.

“To the graduates, I tell you, there is no limit to what you can do,” said Fulton. “Just stay focused and put your mind to it, and you can do it.”

“If I worked in Aviation, I’d be leery of hiring anyone with a degree from this school”

Trust me, the fed gov will snap people like this up in a heart beat. I know, I worked with some civil engineers that were litterally boxes of rocks. Their blueprints for jobs were just chucked full of errors. Had it not been for competent/experienced electricians, plumbers and other contractors asking for corrections, nothing in their projects would have worked.

“”I tell you, there is no limit to what you can do,” said Fulton.”

However, the likelihood was that Trayvon would not have made it past 25 anyway.

Most of his peers aspire to be rappers or community organizers.Yet Obama’s boy became a rocket scientist.

...

He’s right up there with Clock Boy.

Hell.....why not a Nobel prize?—jointly with Michael Brown, of course!

...

They already gave one of those to Obama for doing nothing other than having dark skin and using it to his advantage.

He was beaten because Martin thought he was Gay. His girlfriend said so on the stand. She called Zimmerman a “creepy ass-cracker”. The Urban dictionary defines that as a man who engages in Anal Sex. She reiterated that on Pierce Morgan and was never heard from again.

I have no words.

Why didn’t they just make him a brain surgeon?

And those parents will act like he actually earned that degree, you watch.

Yeah, Tray-Table and the Jolly Teen Giant could split a Nobel prize. Just to be fair.

Just don't beat on, and bust the head of, an armed neighborhood watch person on the sidewalk. It might end badly for you.

As he was “high” all the time, he must have known something about flying.

Great point. Honorary Degrees are as useful as toilet paper. I am in no position to critique the type of degree given and education from these type of schools. I will say that the 9/11 hijackers only sought the education needed to fly and not land. I know of not one school or administrator who reported this strangeness to authorities.

Of course, Zimmerman.

Henderson was from my brain freeze.

Thanks for the correction. "-)

The name "Trayvon Martin" has become a trademark...and there's an ongoing industry built around it.

Various people and organizations are profiting from this industry in various ways. The parents continually benefit financially from speaking engagements and personal appearances....and the black "movement" organizations benefit from donations as they employ non-stop the use of the brand name in propaganda assaults on evil whites, conservatives, Republicans and the Trump administration.

The "Trayvon Martin" brand name is now imprinted with sainthood...and will be used in perpetuity by the Left with all the adulation and reverence afforded to genuine religious saints. It's revealing to follow the money and free publicity trail connected with the brand name. The "Trayvon Martin" industry is a gift that will keep on taking in the foreseeable future.

It is sad that a kid died. He would be alive now had he not tried to kill someone else. The confrontation could have ended peacefully.
