I am listening to conservative talk radio host Michael Medved right now, and he says Trump is firing him because he is investigating the Russian meddling. Medved does not sound happy.
Comey, while he was the head of the FBI, was not the sole investigator. His firing does not stop the investigation. Anyone saying as such without substantial proof is a fool at best.

Lying to Congress this week is the final straw that got Comey fired.
