How are mere conservatives to keep up with the latest in PC etiquette if the politically correct cannot even do so?
Hypatia, a feminist academic journal, issued an apology for publishing a journal article on 'transracialism,' per Inside Higher Ed. Transracialism is the concept that a person can self-identify as a member of a different race. Inside Higher Ed referred to the Rachel Dolezal case, where the former NAACP chapter president identified as a black woman, but was born as a white woman.
The journal editors said that the piece should not have been published and admitted that they did review it before publishing. This came after academics wrote an open letter critical of the journal article.
The author of the article, Rebecca Tuvel, claimed that critics are engaging in ad hominem attacks and defended the reasons behind her article, of how she "perceived a transphobic logic that lay at the heart of the constant attacks against her." Tuvel is an assistant professor of philosophy at Rhodes College in Tennessee.
Tuvel did apologize for "deadnaming" Caitlyn Jenner by her birth name, Bruce Jenner because it "can perpetruate harm against transgender individuals." She was critical of her critics because she felt many did not read her journal article.

That sounds like something out of 1984, huh, like “unperson”.
If this so-called “deadnaming” gets them worked up, it seems inevitable that they will eventually demand that every record book of the last forty years be burned and rewritten to say that “Caitlin” Jenner won the gold medal in the decathlon, which of course is not just false but an impossibility.
When the insane judge the insane the result is insanity.

“deadnaming”? Never heard of the phrase, but it appears that apparently “Bruce Jenner” is metaphorically dead and one must always refer to him as Caitlyn Jenner now.
Did he get his actual birth certificate changed? Can you even do that? If not, it’s coming...

What a coincidence. Some scholars advocate that the murder of Hypatia marked the end of classical antiquity and was a harbinger of the Dark Ages. The publishing of PC BS articles like this, and the ensuing controversy, mark the end of Western rationalism and Enlightenment, and are a harbinger of the new Dark Ages.

It is a fat and luxurious society wherein adults can play make-believe their entire lives and attempt to guard themselves from the negative consequences by insisting that everybody else play along or else. It is also a decadent society, and when these decay enough to fall there isn’t a lot of room for make-believe when the real world comes crashing in. So go ahead, kids, keep poking the bubble and watch what happens.
