Ann Coulter: Not Building the Wall Is a Government Shutdown
Breitbart ^ | April 26, 2017 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 04/26/2017 9:20:54 PM PDT by EliRoom8

No one voted for Trump because of the “Access Hollywood” tape. They voted for him because of his issues; most prominently, his promise to build “a big beautiful wall.” And who’s going to pay for it? MEXICO!

You can’t say that at every campaign rally for 18 months and then not build a wall.

Do not imagine that a Trump double-cross on the wall will not destroy the Republican Party. Oh, we’ll get them back. No, you won’t. Trump wasn’t a distraction: He was the last chance to save the GOP.

Millions of Americans who hadn’t voted in 30 years came out in 2016 to vote for Trump. If he betrays them, they’ll say, “You see? I told you. They’re all crooks.”

No excuses will work. No fiery denunciations of the courts, the Democrats or La Raza will win them back, even if Trump comes up with demeaning Twitter names for them.

It would be an epic betrayal — worse than Bush betraying voters on “no new taxes.” Worse than LBJ escalating the Vietnam War. There would be nothing like it in the history of politics.

He’s the commander in chief! He said he’d build a wall. If he can’t do that, Trump is finished, the Republican Party is finished, and the country is finished.

Explain how 3-D chess is involved with this latest SURRENDER to the Dims on the wall.

Who do we thank for the new kick the can down the street attitude on the wall?

Congress. Trump is trying to pass things, but the GOP congress hasn’t done a damn thing to help

I’ve heard nothing that makes me think the wall won’t be built.

I have yet to see the President’s reasoning when questioned about the hires, and I really don’t care at the moment either.

As for the attitude you describe, I’d take you far more seriously if you blamed the GOP cucks in Congress half as much as you pile on the President.

I am so sick of Lyin Ryan and McTurtle.

Ryan is doing the Dims/Schumer/PeLOUSY’s bidding :(

Uh, because people like you are willing to throw him under the bus for every single thing, and so he has to delay the funding battle until he can collect more bargaining chips?

It must be difficult to be President when a good chunk of your base throws tantrums over the slightest thing.

Of course there is no 3-D chess at play here and there never was any 3-D chess at play anywhere. The proposition that Trump was brilliantly playing 3-D chess every time he committed a gaffe was utterly preposterous-even absurd.

He had no idea of the powers of creative incompetence, and the loathsome depths of corruption, of the Uniparty.

I think he was a little hazy on the concept of co-equal branches, too.

1. We will bill the wall and Mexico will pay for the wall.

2. Mexico will pay for the wall later.

3. We are asking Congress for the money to build the wall.

4. We are asking Congress only for $1 billion as preliminary for building the wall.

5. We are withdrawing our request for $1 billion until at least September.

6. Do not worry, We will build the wall.

I have heard a lot to make me believe that the wall will not be built and a lot of that comes from Congress, to which Trump has apparently at least temporarily acquiesced, that they are not going to fund the wall.

Obama had a Congress that would do anything he wanted, even when the Republicans took it over.

President Trump has a Congress under Republican control that will not do whatever he wants. Now he has a Activist Liberal Judiciary second guessing every decision he makes.

Democrat Presidents never have to deal with Activist Judges simply because Conservative Judges are anything but Activists.

People can blame President Trump for not getting certain things done in a short period of time, but the reality is the Politicians to get things done are Ten to One against him accomplishing most of what he ran on.

I don’t agree with President Trump on some issues, but he is the only Republican Contender who could have been Elected POTUS and the only one who actually stands a chance of getting things done sooner or later.

The most important issue this Election cycle was the future of the Supreme Court. No matter what, we dodged a Liberal MOAB if not for President Trump being Elected.

It was Trump or the Butcheress of Benghazi and next time around it will be Trump and an even crazier Leftist Democrat judging by the direction their Party is moving.

Trump is my guy. People act like there was and is an alternative, there isn’t. The bitching is getting tiring.

“for every single thing”?

THIS — THIS — is the thing. THIS — THIS — was front and center. So don’t rationalize signing this budget without some money — even a token amount — for the wall.

I agree. I guess some still can’t get over that they were very late to the party. Weak pearl-clutchers are sooooooo tiresome.

I'm pretty sure you can actually.

Yes. That is exactly the way it looks.
The leftward push is right out in the open. Becoming more solidified with each passing week. Sort of in our faces.
