An Army veteran was thrown behind bars Tuesday for allegedly tying her PTSD therapy dog to a tree and shooting him five times at close range killing the poor pup for no apparent reason while a soldier filmed it.
...
Court documents obtained by the Fayetteville Observer describe how she teamed up with her boyfriend, Jarren Heng, 25, for the seemingly random killing earlier this month.
The couple allegedly led the white and gray pit bull to a wooded area before tying him to a tree and taking his life. ... ultimately was shot five times with a rifle as Rollins and Heng, who is still enlisted and stationed at Fort Bragg, took turns filming him.
Let me hit him once, Heng can be heard saying in the video.
Throughout the disturbing clip, he and Rollins both laugh and joke about the dogs brutal death ...

They can be, but I have read far too many cases of these loyal and gentle dogs suddenly attacking and killing people.
They are a crap shoot, and a dangerous one at that.
Someone told me that they go crazy because their skulls keep growing thicker, and eventually puts pressure on their brains. I have no idea if this is true, but too many of them just go nuts without warning.
The people, that are kiling pit bulls fo valid reasons are the ones saving themselves or others being attacked by he pit bull. Not because they are gettig their rocks off killing a dog that hasnt done anything and i tied up for target practice by sadists.
I had a friend with a pit bull way back in the early 70s before the average person ever heard of them. I spend hundreds of hours around the dog who was friendly and affectionate. I also saw it turn in a second, tear free from someone’s grip on his leash and maim a adolescent German Shepard who was strolling by. Fortunately it wasn’t a kid, but it could have been. Like I said above, most pit bulls are friendly until one day they aren’t.
I dont object to people shooting their own dog if they can do it humanely. I know pit bulls have thick skulls.
It did not even quiver or jump when hit.
I have killed hundreds of animals, and you usually see much more motion than was exhibited here. The dog very likely was sick or drugged before being shot.
An animal’s owner has the right to kill that animal if it seems the best choice to them. Putting an animal in a shelter is almost always a death sentence. People do it all the time, so they do not have to face the consequences of their actions.
Where is the cruelty in the video? The dog was killed virtually instantly. It is not cruel to kill an animal virtually instantly.
Hope they rot in hell.
The most maligned and abused dogs are pitbulls. They do not deserve the reputation.
Cammie trusted those monsters.
It was not the military that made those monsters. The only overseas duty she had was Korea in the article I read. Those people should be given the Arkansas treatment without much further ado.
Given the number who are jumping on the PTSD gravy train, the numbers are starting to head that direction. Stats run from 20 to 35% for those that got near a war zone. Or here's some numbers at over 53% for male Vietnam vets for full or partial PTSD. https://www.ptsd.va.gov/professional/research-bio/research/vietnam-vets-study.asp
Of course, a positive factor for PTSD is being Mexican, and a negative factor is being Japanese. (same link).
Yes, there are. Prayers. ...
Lock her up!
Hope they rot in hell.

Do you eat meat or wear leather?
Dogs are not human. They are property, just like horses or cats or cows or rabbits or chickens.
Yes, we bond with them more than most other animals, which is why it takes more courage to do what sometimes needs to be done.
There is a saying: A real man shoots his own dog.
That is, a real man does it himself to make sure it is done properly, and because a real man is willing to face the bloody consequences.
“Hope they rot in hell.”
Eternity in hell for killing a dog? May Christ have mercy on you.
Someone tie this bitch to a tree and I will pull the trigger five times.
The only thing worse than the wanton slaughter of this poor dog are some of the replies, here.
Where is evil?
Often where you least expect it.
I have to disagree with you on this one. This is not something a normal person would do.
5 times? I hope he was saving that 6th round for himself.
Looks like a “Nylon” 66. They’re lucky one of those bullets didn’t make a return trip.
It looks like a clean kill — first round to the base of the skull.
Their dog, and it may have needed putting down. It’s weird to video it though.
Agreed. This couple should be put down like the rabid curs they are.
Curs definition; a mongrel dog, especially a worthless or unfriendly one.
Good to see you back Joe. Hope you are doing OK.
Were they actually giggling and laughing or was that bull crap or what? Did they have any reason for recording it and put it on social media or what is the deal with that?
Freegards
I have no time for AHs who treat animals like this.
Treated like what? The dog was killed about as instantly as an animal can be killed. It felt no pain and was dead.
It is the type of death that happens billions of times a year in slaughter houses.
Most of the pain is from people who do not want to face the reality that no animal or human is going to make it out of this life alive.
People do not want to face the reality of death.
Tell me, how would you have made this death less painful?
I would like to know. It is highly likely that the deaths of tens of millions of pets in kill shelters is more traumatic. Many use cyanide gas. The animal realizes something is wrong and attempts to escape before they die, at least that is the observation that I have from mink at a mink ranch being killed with cyanide before their fur was harvested. It was still quite fast; but there were a few seconds of awareness.

It’s Nature vs. Nurture. If any animal is mistreated long enough it will do what nearly human I’ve ever known will do: FIGHT BACK!! Nearly all (about 20 were put down due to the severity of their injuries) of the 70 PIT BULLS rescued from Michael Vick’s property WERE REHABILITATED and placed in new GOOD HOMES!
