I am in Stage 2

I do have good days, but they are rare.

“Maybe I should check out osteopaths. Are they the ones that believe more in natural healing and view the body as a whole?”

Yes, exactly so.

He did not figure it out alone.
He sent me to several of his colleagues.
Oddly enough, it was the surgeon who did my knee operations that nailed what it was.

When it flares it can be excruciating and that’s no lie.
There are changes associated with it, yes.
At this point I would say that this condition for me is permanent. My limbs (left leg) are not twisted at this point and I still work for a living.
That’s not a bad thing though.
Trying to retain a degree of normalcy is important.

I cannot do many of the things that I could before I became afflicted by this, but am doing pretty well considering.

I have RSD also, not a fun thing to live with. I got it from a car accident on I-55 with a semi. It took over 4 1/2 years to finally get a correct diagnosis back in 2001.

Slap away, you have my permission.

Actually, we should knock John Robert’s and Major’s heads together.

What kind of a question was that about Flynn and the documents?

And Major not listening or not wanting to accept what Sean said, geeze.

With all that is going on is this truly important?

In reality, some of them were accused by Obama’s own Justice Department of posing threats to national security. Three allegedly were part of an illegal procurement network supplying Iran with U.S.-made microelectronics with applications in surface-to-air and cruise missiles like the kind Tehran test-fired recently, prompting a still-escalating exchange of threats with the Trump administration. Another was serving an eight-year sentence for conspiring to supply Iran with satellite technology and hardware. As part of the deal, U.S. officials even dropped their demand for $10 million that a jury said the aerospace engineer illegally received from Tehran.

GOSH ROSS***********this man knows what he's talking about...he's brilliant!!!

Yes, I was really impressed with him, too! The very definition of "unruffled", thoughtful and well-spoken - even got in a zinger about Obama being the only president who did not achieve at least 3% GDP.

My favorite moment: when someone asked about whether the trade discussions would get Michael Flynn's name out of the news and Wilbur said, "Oh, is Michael Flynn now a trade issue? I wasn't aware that he was."

Our President has picked a stellar team!

I’d say you are. Your attitude is always upbeat and helpful. I don’t know if I would be the same, I think I would do a lot of feeling sorry for myself. Well I will send Prayers Your Way, God has your plan and we just never know why things like this happen.

My heart goes out to you, Vipper.
I am so sorry you are afflicted with this, too.

It’s a terrible thing to live with, and many people don’t understand.

It’s “the hurt that doesn’t show”
and just because we LOOK okay, doesn’t mean that we ARE okay.
Before my diagnosis I thought I was losing my mind!

How are you feeling these days?

I’ll be right behind you in the line to slap Major. He was especially obnoxious today, and that’s saying a lot!

“Making myself go back out and do a little more in the yard.”

Me too, I best get out there and deal with the weeds in the raised beds. I have no excuse not to do those since I can reach everything without walking on the wet dirt. See you after.

“Chronic pain is horrible to deal with though. Mine had definite emotional and mental aspects. It’s hard to feel hopeful, and hard to imagine being out of pain. I really wish I could do something to help you”

Thank you.
I love you for this!
*HUG*

May I ask what your diagnosis is?
I think I missed it in your post.
Nothing new for me!
LOL

Oh I’m so sorry. And how incredibly frustrating to know that you hurt, and have the doctors not figure it out. They’re the only ones we can go to for help and yet they don’t seem to take their Hippocratic oath very seriously. I mean how much trouble would it be to open a textbook or Google!

Thanks for the welcome. Been around a long time. Joined during the Clinton “Blue Dress” fiasco, but due to a mix up in the spelling of my name, my sign-up date is a year later.

I do enjoy this thread as there doesn’t seem to have the friction as some threads that turn into a free-for-all. In fact, guess I have got involved in a few, much to my chagrin. One reason that I try to just read and not opine.

Oh I don’t think I said it. I have a multitude of repetitive stress injuries. It started with carpal tunnel syndrome, and then when I had the surgeries under workers comp, I think the doctor was in collusion with them. He sent me back to type three weeks after each surgery. After that I started getting horrendous pain up my arm.

The carpal tunnel doesn’t bother me these days, but intersection syndrome (a tendinitis in the wrist) and radial tunnel syndrome (a compressed nerve in the forearm), cause the most pain. Both are bare. So putting them together, and combining the symptoms, mini orthopedic surgeons just couldn’t figure it out. If I’d had just one or the other, it probably would’ve been different. I’ve been given a lot of pain pills and told to go back typing. Well I felt fantastic on vicodin, so I did. Did a lot of permanent damage too.

But it’s OK. After finding a fantastic doctor at USC and finding jobs that don’t require typing, I can live pretty normally. I just have to be careful not to overdo anything. And to keep up my stretching and icing every day. The last week I have had problems though, pretty much been continuously. And I don’t even know what I did! My husband just shakes his head and says this is my normal. But it really isn’t, I can have some pretty good days and I can accomplish a few things.

After years, I finally figured out why God had this planned for me. I met two people who were also in excruciating pain, one had hip problems and another was pretty much and diagnosed, he had headaches, shoulder problems, back problems. Both said that I helped them a lot, in relating my story and for empathizing with them, especially their frustration with going to doctors. One lived near me so I went with her often.

The other was an Internet friend and he just disappeared. Before that he was talking about not being able to stand it any longer. He couldn’t get disability because there was no diagnosis, and he was having a hard time working. He lost his house, had to move in with his ex-wife, I felt so helpless. So I fear the worst. This was two years ago that he disappeared. I sent an email probably every few months, just in case.

So I don’t like it when people disappear from us! - ok, LG? ;)
