America has always had its divisions, and Americans have never really been a monolith. Weve always been a nation of many nations. The culture of New England is different from the culture of the Deep South, which is different from the cultures in the West Coast or the Midwest. People living in the cities have different beliefs than people who live in the countryside. Within those areas, there are ethnic, linguistic, and religious enclaves. Its always kind of been like that (probably to a lesser degree in the past), and somehow weve been able to find enough common ground to keep this country together for more than a century.
However, something has changed. You can feel it in the air. Our nation has clearly never been this divided since the Civil War. A lot of people noticed it after the last election, but the truth is that these divisions have been deepening for decades, and theyre just now reaching a very noticeable breaking point. Thats obvious enough when you look at how the left and the right have been going at each other. It used to be a war of words, but its turning into something very dark.
Consider what happened last week in Berkeley after Trump supporters and counter protesters clashed for the third time. 21 people were arrested and 11 were injured (that we know of), six of who had to be taken to the hospital. At least one person was stabbed. The police confiscated confiscated knives, stun guns, and poles. One Trump supporter admitted to being surrounded, pepper sprayed, and beaten with sticks by a mob of protesters.
But wait, thats not the dark part. After these groups clashed, the leftist protesters took to Reddit and admitted that they lost this particular battle ...

We fired our gun and liberals kept a commin

Chittum had, before writing the book, survived and fought in both Rhodesia and Yugoslavia. So his thesis was informed by this experience - he believed that as societies fractured inevitably they did so along the most obvious fault lines: in some countries that is religion, in others ethnic groups (such as in Yugoslavia were Croates fought Serbs fought Bosnians ...etc. His view was that the largest fault line in American is race, so that inevitably when Civil War comes to the USA it will be primarily along racial lines.
It's interesting at least in this case (antifa vs. MAGA) that's not how it's happening at this time.
The book closes with a "checklist" of items that indicate the Civil War is getting closer. I'll highlight those that apply.
For those who are interested, here is a link to the book on Amazon. (It is out of print for a while, prices reflect that there is still demand for it.)
It's also available on-line to read in PDF format here: Civil War 2: The Coming Breakup of America
OK, with all that background let's get to the Checklist items, and see, how are we doing on the run up to CWII?
Item 2: If illegal aliens are allowed to vote, even in local elections, it will be another unmistakable signal that American citizenship, and therefore America itself, is finished. If the millions of illegal aliens in America are granted amnesty and get the vote, it will mean open immigration and a giant step towards Civil War II.Item 9: Watch for further replacement of individual rights by group rights, group rights based on ethnic group. Empires employ this method to enlist certain favored groups in suppressing the others, and racist affirmative action is a classic example of this replacement of our rights as individuals by a race-based system of penalties and special privileges. Then the powers that be have only to pay off the leaders of these favored groups, a relatively easy task. Every time you hear the racist euphemism affirmative action, think Civil War II.
Item 13: Watch for minorities and radical whites to continue to seize control of American institutions. Our courts, schools, universities, the media, many churches, and many unions have been completely or partially taken over, and politically incorrect dissidents expelled or intimidated into silence.
OK, well that's it for now!
To accomplish change a Revolution is necessary. A second Civil War may be the start of a Revolution. The sheeple will continue to be fleeced and abused until they forcibly stop the fleecing.
Politicians arent going to reverse any of the burdens we are beset by willingly or by the vote of the steeple. They like things just the way they are:
Confused
Controlled by special interests that fund their campaigns
Their privilidged status for life
No term limits
A process mired in secrecy and contorted rules
They like cheap illegal labor because their benefactors like it
They like a monster tax code so they can favor friends and punish enemies just like their handlers tell them to do.
The situation is as hopeless today as it was in 1938 when Jimmy Stewrart made Mr. Smith Goes to Washington A decent man cant survive to fight. The system is totally corrupt.

California is the poster child for exactly that. As a conservative in Silicon Valley I have absolutely no representation at any level of government from the Governor on down to the local school board. All of those people are essentially communists proudly wearing the "progressive" label.
The Republican party has become a "rump" party here; they have no say in any state legislation. The urban and suburban areas have maybe 20-25% conservative populations. (San Francisco County voted 85% for the Bag)
The only good news is that the major land area of California in the "outback" counties are almost all run by conservative Repubos, but the population of those counties is not enough to run the damn Rats out of state government.
Did you ever read Selco’s blog?
There’s a fifth column in Oregon the likes of which you cannot imagine.
Do you somehow not understand this?

There are some "Eras of Good Feeling" when the country isn't very divided.
The Eisenhower-Kennedy years were the last one. The years around 1820 were the original "Era of Good Feeling." Maybe the 1880s, midway between the Civil War/Reconstruction and the Populist revolt were another, and the 1920s a third. For all the talk now about the Progressive era, we were less divided a century ago than we are now.
But since the mid-1960s the country's been sharply divided. More so during Vietnam than in the later 70s and 80s. I'd say the country is more divided now than it was in the Reagan years, but how much of that is real and how much is a result of the Internet?
We were near the breaking point then also .

Many thanks and thank you so much, for putting me is such exalted company.
It’s part of a bigger Camp of the Saints conflict
Last Civil War was pretty tough and somewhat unnecessary
We have far better killing tools now
And less reverence for God
It’ll be unprecedented bloodshed
But they axed for it
>>We are already in a civil war... sides are being defined as we skirmish

True.
Just wanted to add that some people think it would be a cakewalk for patriots to quickly smash the snowflakes.
What they may not realize is that while yes, there are snowflakes, there are also hardcore revolutionaries who will team up with the muzzie jihadists, resulting in a formidable foe, not to be underestimated.
