Dude......
Dittos to that! CRAZY weather up here in the Mountains the last 4 weeks!
Good evening, spel, and thank you for the Friday Night Edition of the Salsa Addiction Emergency Room! ((HUGS))
LOL! Good evening, Sand...((HUGS))
Does Maddi have a trike or a big wheel? Is she fast?
This is early Billie from 1939, backed by some of the great jazz sidemen of the era with a blues-flavored interpretation. She puts her own spin on the tune.
Yes, it finally started raining here early this evening and there’s more on the way. Might even get some thunderstorms in a little while.
There were storms north of us this afternoon with a tornado warning about 20 miles from us. Couldn’t see the lightning but could see the dark, ugly clouds from here.
No kittens yet but it won’t be long. Poor Pixie will be glad to get that load out. She’s huge.
No rain on your radar up there so it looks like you’ll just have clouds tonight. The plus side it they’ll hold in some of the heat you got during the day. :-)

Howdy there, PRO!
Glad you’re still enjoying nice weather. It sure was crummy up there a long time. Any outdoor plans for the weekend if your son is able to be there or will it be another save-the-world marathon?
No kittens yet. Pixie looks like a tick that’s about to pop, she’s so big. I feel sorry for her.
Ahhhhh....yes! That one!
One of the things that makes a particular song a candidate for the Great American Songbook is its ability to provoke different jazz interpretations. This recording is from 1943, and there is no attempt to play it slowly as a ballad. Hawkins and some of the best jazz musicians of the day really let it swing. The piano and bass passages for openers are wonderful, but when Hawkins lets loose, what a session!
Oops! Forgot to answer your question. Got one eye on “Independence Day” and the other on a new owl nest cam. LOL!
All’s well. Hubby was out at the garage all last night so I took advantage of his absence and did some cleaning that’s easier to do when he won’t get in the way. LOL!
LOL! Take that, work week! :)

Sure did....yesterday she said she felt nothing, today a tiny prick. So round one is finished...2 more rounds for each knee and then prayers that they make a difference. On the way we talked about no matter the outcome, we tried.
Picked up her prescription on the way home.....Olanzapine, common name ZYPREXA. Very low dose and I can choose to increase it if it doesn’t seem to be helping after 1 to 2 weeks.
“Olanzapine is used to treat certain mental/mood conditions (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder). It may also be used in combination with other medication to treat depression. This medication can help to decrease hallucinations and help you to think more clearly.”
Please let this work...she started seeing writing at the pain center and asked one of the young ladies to point to the writing on the wall. *sigh* And I heard her tell my sister that while she waited in the car as I got the pills, she saw writing in the clouds.

Lena had a presence in black films, regular Hollywood productions, night clubs, radio and recording. This 1944 recording sets it up as a torch song.
