".@RepDaveBrat: New health care plan in GOP pipeline "the same fundamental bill" as one that faltered last month https://t.co/kK1lWALm5T"
New Day (@NewDay) April 21, 2017
A revised GOP healthcare bill is the 'same fundamental bill' as the first one, but it contains some significant amendments and lawmakers will likely approve it, Rep. Dave Brat said Friday.
"[Republicans] like to rely on free markets as much as we can," the Virginia Republican told CNN's "New Day" anchor Chris Cuomo.
"This is still a federal government structure. I'm not totally happy with that outcome."
The plan "at least cracks the door open" for states to opt out of some insurance regulations, said Brat, so that young people can buy affordable healthcare plans, Brat continued.

“Brat said the “swamp” of Washington’s special interests had hindered the first effort, but he clarified he did not mean that to insult members of the House moderates’ “Tuesday Group.”
Info on the RINO, GOPe, Tuesday Group
“Meet the Freedom Caucus spineless liberal sibling: The GOPs Tuesday Group”

“In addition to supporting liberal Republicans during election cycles, the Tuesday Group has been playing with its branding. Uncomfortable with the label of RINO or liberal, they have previously described themselves as moderates. But the rise of the grassroots during the Obama administration made them shrug off the term, moderate, and members are now calling themselves centrists. Clearly, however, they are more liberal than conservative, and are proud of being so.”
Unless the bill repeals every word of Obamacare and replaces it with nothing, then I don’t see a reason to support it.
You should take your ball and go home.
Amazing how the GOP House passed dozens of Obamacare repeals when they knew it had zero chance in the Senate and a President who would veto.
Now when it would mean something, they run scared. Spineless.
That will never happen. Many in GOP are too afraid of being blamed for sick people not getting the care they need. Little do they know they will be blamed for that no matter what.
With few exceptions, the GOP is totally corrupt. K Street is driving the bus, and congressmen are told where and when to get on and off.
It’s called posturing.
Now that something can done, they are afraid to irritate their financial patrons.
RINO RYAN told all of us that listened to his speech after President Trump pulled the last healthcare POS:
“We were not expecting to win this election, so we didn’t prepare for it”...you go back and find that speech and right at the end you will hear him say that...
That is why we are not getting anything done in Congress, they didn’t think we would win, now ask yourselves, are you going to re elect these same people again??? They ARE expecting you to do that you know...are you???
California won’t “opt-out”...so I am SOL along with million of others! Full repeal, then look at other options like you promised.
And of course it will not pass the Sernate in its present form and will have to go to back to be amended and approved ...
Here's a reason: because any bill which "repeals every word of Obamacare and replaces it with nothing" will not pass Congress—and because doing nothing leaves Obamacare 100% in place, along with its devastating consequences for American workers class and American business.
Politics is the art of the possible—not the whimsical.
"Drain the swamp" is a great slogan, but for the moment, we have to rely on many swamp-dwellers to pass anything that gets to the President's desk...
Here we go again. Renege, rename, repeat and retreat...
F**ing losers...
I’m disappointed in Brat
I had high hopes for him.....now he sounds like a swamp fed politician
If this is true!
It's going to be a campaign issue that can be used to ridicule and defeat them. I wouldn't be surprised if even the HOR majority will be in jeopardy. Who, across the political spectrum, is going to prioritize getting to the polls to vote for a hypocritical, bought-and-paid-for, cynical joke, someone who can't be trusted to keep their word when it matters.
I don't want a lecture about the good things President Trump has accomplished with no help from the swamp things. It only takes one substantial issue to sink a campaign.
There was never going to be any repeal. That would reduce Fedzilla’s power and the attendants of Fedzilla in Congress will never do that.
Can we assume Brat is significant of nothing?
REPEAL.
How freaking hard is keeping that promise?
