Here's a fun fact: Not surprisingly, after being trashed and trampled by the Left for several generations, there has been a downward spiral in the study of history on American campuses from 18 percent in 1971 to 9 percent today, according to historian Daniel Pipes. And, according to the American Historical Association, the reason appears to coincide with the percentage of historians who specialize in women and gender, which has risen from 1% to nearly 10%.during the past 40 years.
Not surprisingly, the study of gender is the most important subfield in the academy, followed by cultural history and environmental history, the study of how human shape their environment and are shaped by it. The losers in this cluster, according to Pipes, are international history, legal and constitutional history and intellectual history.
The results? Among the survivors is a Harvard course called "Emotions in History," which deals with two approaches: How to write the history of emotions and how emotions affect the writing of history. You get the drift. Not surprisingly, the class currently consists of one student. Meanwhile, a couple of choice "history" offerings at Yale include "Witchcraft and Society in Colonial America" and "History of the Supernatural."

History in the public secondary school system has always been a joke. It’s basically just a long list of political campaign slogans, punctuated by a short list of politically correct American wars.

History class in schools are about advancing the liberal agenda now and advancing feminism. For example, the smearing of Christianity and making the holy church as enemy number one to progress, portraying the church as against social justice, women's rights, the gay agenda, scientific advancement socialist redistribution of wealth ETC.
Then there's the attack on Western civ, in particular America, the west as an expansionistic genocidal empire gobbling up land and killing off indiginous people, western civ as the enemy and every other culture as being morally superior.
Its a crying shame. History classes especially in secondary and University levels is all about promoting self hatred, feminism and socialism.
My favorite lie, the crusades as a war of conquering aggression on innocent Muslims. REALITY:It was A liberation of what once was a Christian land from Muslim expansion, protect pilgrims who were being harassed and an attempt to stem the tide of Islamic imperialism aimed at taking Constanstinople.
IMAO A friend of mine who believes in Reincarnation said he was a knight hospitlar in Jerusalem and Antioch and said that if a liberal went back and told him and his buddies that same hogwash they'd probably laugh their heads off and think them insane. Then send him/her/it off to the lunatic asylum which was in a monastery. Mental health treatment then wasn't great whether you were a knight with PTSD or a time traveling liberal looney who thought Islamic values were superior to all others while claiming all things were relative.
In Short its all about destroying American civilization and culture and Christianity. These days I find documentary hosts who believe in Ancient aliens to have more credibility than public school history teachers.

Dunno. History was pretty good when I went to elementary and HS. And the libraries actually had history books in them.
Nowadays it is “Social Studies” and “Media Centers.” And I have more books than the school library.
Speaking of fake history, I would bet 8 out of 10 people would agree that Queen Cleopatra was a black African (formerly a Negro).
She was not. It is absurd to believe otherwise. It is fake history.
