The most competitive special Congressional election yet has arrived, and we will be providing returns live tonight right here. In addition to our district-wide totals, we will be analyzing county and precinct level returns. For the Democrats, the hope is that Jon Ossoff can pull out an outright win tonight- if he gets over 50% of the vote in this crowded field, hes in as the districts new Representative in Congress. If he falls short, then he will face off against one of four likely Republican opponents in a runoff on June 20th: Karen Handel, Bob Gray, Judson Hill, or Dan Moody. Polls close at 7pm and we anticipate at least early vote tallies to begin rolling in shortly thereafter. Refresh this page for the latest results tonight out of Georgia.
No, no. 6th GA is in Eastern TZ. As is all of GA.
BUT! Two polling places down in north Fulton County (north Atlanta!!!) are claiming polling problems and are staying open past the 7:00 pm deadline for every other (law-abiding) polling place.
Ossoff would be a one term wonder till November 2018 even if he does win. Him winning is nothing more than a propaganda thing for the media.
I’m at a local bar in Dekalb which happens to be a watch party for Osoff haha
One effect of the Dems’ atrongly contesting the election is that the Republican Party went out and got voters- RINOs.
If it was a normal primary, conservative and pro-Trump candidtes would do better.
I hope that Ossof doesn’t win, but if he does, it will be a wake up call. I have said that the Democrats are highly motivated, and writing off the people at those townhalls who vote is not wise.
Please. This douche spent millions on adds and wouldn’t DARE but a D by his name anywhere.
What are you doing hanging out at a Yuppie bar? Did you drive your Volvo or BMW there?
Did a court order this, or did election administrators decide?
If he wins in the first round, it will be more than just propaganda for the MSM. It will boost the Dems for the midterms and will draw an infusion of even more money into their coffers. Not a good thing.
Georgia Special Election #GA06
9/210 Precincts
(D) J. Ossoff 33862 60.6%
K. Handel 8216 14.7%
D. Moody 4751 8.5%
B. Gray 4041 7.2%
Oh? What are you doing in a Gay bar? (J/K!!!)
Stick around as long as you can, it’s close but I’d bet Ossuff doesn’t make 50%.
They’ll get so high... and then be brought to tears.
North Fulton is heavily Republican and conservative....
I live there...
I think we will squeak by here. What you are seeing is the "early vote" and Democrats were definitely energized to steal this one. But Osoff has dropped to about 60% and now "same-day" votes will start coming in. I think Trump's tweets today woke a lot of people up to get to the polls. We will soon see.
What are the total vote numbers? It really is Ossoff against the field. It really doesn’t matter what each Rep gets.
You know, you just get enough voters turned off by not getting rid of Obamacare... or not appealing some bad court decisions... or how about reinforcing that a ‘Wall’ will be built instead of leaking out that it will not.
Don’t know, to be honest.
I would be very, very suspicious of ANYTHING reported from DeKalb County, and from Fulton County for that matter, but Cobb County (mine) and points north are honest.
With only two precincts in the RNIO/ultra-rich area there around that north (rich) area of Fulton County having problems? It might be legitimate problems. Compare, for example, if 40, 50 or 100 precincts inside Atlanta itself were staying open late. But still ....
It is also sheer idiocy for Republicans to run so many candidates. Republicans eat their young in primaries. Dems are smart and get one guy out front and everyone runs behind him. Sometimes it’s a loser, like Hillary. But most of the time, the strategy against an overcrowded Republican field, works wonders.
That is a parody account
I’m hearing 48. I’d be wrong (good) cuz he would lose runoff (very good).
