Three US Aircraft Carriers Directed Toward South Korean Shores
Amid mounting tensions in the East Asia, the Pentagon has directed three US aircraft carriers toward the Korean Peninsula, South Korean media reported quoting governmental sources.
TOKYO (Sputnik) Three US aircraft carriers, USS Carl Vinson, USS Ronald Reagan and USS Nimitz, will enter the Sea of Japan next week, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing a South Korean government source.
Washington and Seoul are discussing joint drills, which will include the three aircraft carriers, with USS Carl Vinson expected to enter the Sea of Japan by April 25 and other ships joining it, according to the report.
On Sunday night, South Korean and US military reported registering what they believed to be a failed missile test by Pyongyang.

According to this article, a “Chinese military expert” said that two carriers were in the area. ...interesting propaganda efforts, by the way.
North Korea’s failed missile launch premeditated?

Everybody tries to give the best spin to yesterday’s launch failure. Chinese occasionally put out the most colorful and conspiratorial one.
Yes, thank you. On “propaganda,” by the way, I was referring only to the comment by the Chinese man on Phoenix Television. On the “best spin,” it’s understandable. Life is difficult enough without despotic dictators and the wars they eventually bring to other nations.
Many people hope such dictators will simply start being good and peaceful. Or they hope that with a single tyrant removed from a position of power, another tyrant from the same culture of communism, fascism or monarchy will not take his place. Sadly, such hopes are like a desire that a river will reverse on its own to run uphill.
remind me why we are threatening war with north korea ?
I love President Trump, but he said our military is "getting stronger every day."
In one sense he is correct, because he is a tremendous improvement from the Homosexual Muslim Marxist.
But in another sense, the military budget is in dire straights. We are still operating under a Continuing Resolution, with no budget because Congress will not do their job.
The Air Force chief of staff recently decided to tell the truth and came out from behind politics:
In the Air Force, we still havent recovered from round one of sequester budget cuts, he said. The most dramatic development would come in late July, when all squadrons that are not deployed or training for imminent deployment will stop flying.
A half of a Trillion dollars in HUD money has been found "missing" during an audit ordered by Dr. Ben Carson.
The Obama years are still a cancer upon this nation.
Wars are "come as you are" these days.
It takes decades for new weapon systems to come on line. It take months or even years for new munitions to be resupplied in the depots.
A real war will be a real wake up call for the American people.
Their turn.
You are correct, but the Reagan is homeported in Yokosuka, Japan. Maybe an opportunity with the other two swapping out to make a statement.
If you honestly need to ask that question, there is no need to even bother discussing it with you.
The Japanese designation “Helicopter-destroyer” is a PR dodge for internal consumption. The JSDF-Navy would prefer that their pacifists not know that they actually have aircraft carriers.
Perhaps because they are striving to develop and enable an ICBM that, nuclear-armed, can be launched to reach New York and LA.
+1
No one else has supercarriers like we do.>>>>
That’s because we have an outrageously inventive culture which has combined personal aviation and the drag strip, and made the combination into the best gun boats for diplomacy in history.
You f**k with the U S of A ? Someone is coming to see you up close and personal.
No one else has a history of personal aviation and drag racing like we do. We even plafully launched cars using a carrier catapult,
Yes, and most of them are ours.
There's currently a lot of public support (in Japan) for changing back Japan Defence policies which would allow them to once again build an (add to) their awesome fleet including supercarriers! I hope it finally happens.
Nice numbers, but they are meaningless!
Where did you get them?
We’re not.
We are threatening annihilation!
