I wonder if a federal retiree is convicted of committing a crime while working, it they lose their federal pension.

I don't know but I hope so, but not until they are convicted. Also, probably the judge has some leeway in the matter.

Her criminal activity involved her job so I sure hope that they can strip Lerner of her pension.

Besides she will get free room & board at Leavenworth, what will she need money for anyway
