I wonder if a federal retiree is convicted of committing a crime while working, it they lose their federal pension.

I don't know but I hope so, but not until they are convicted. Also, probably the judge has some leeway in the matter.

Ask Jessie Jackson Jr. he is drawing more retirement than he was salary because he is disabled. Why is he disabled you ask? Because he is a thief so he must be crazy.
