OKLAHOMA CITY Walmart, the worlds largest retailer, is looking for Oklahoma entrepreneurs to pitch their made-in-the-USA products to the companys buyers in a daylong event at Walmarts global headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. on June 28.
Registration has begun at walmart-jump.com and the deadline is May 18.
We are excited to once again invite businesses from all 50 states to meet with Walmart buyers who have one goal in mind: to buy more American products for our stores, clubs and Walmart.com, Cindi Marsiglio, Walmarts vice president of U.S. Manufacturing said. By investing in products supporting American jobs, we are able to bring new products to our shelves our customers want and new jobs to our communities. Increasing domestic manufacturing will help create additional jobs in the U.S., and thats good for American businesses.
Walmart buyers will be looking to make deals of varying sizes ranging from supplying product to a handful of stores in a local market, to supplying hundreds or thousands of stores as well as Sams Club locations and Walmart.com.
Event highlights:
* Product pitch meetings with buyers
* Customer insights on Walmart shoppers
* Supplier academy learning sessions
* Closing session and network reception
In January 2013, Walmart committed to American renewal by announcing it intends to help boost job creation and U.S. manufacturing through buying an additional $250 billion in products that support American jobs over 10 years. Based on data from Boston Consulting Group, its estimated that 1 million new U.S. jobs will be created through this initiative.

My experience too. Wal-Mart has put more American Made suppliers out of business than we could guess. They destroy product quality and value by driving down prices until companies can no longer afford to make a quality product and then get replaced with Chinese crap.
The entire experience trying to sell to Wal-Mart changed my perspective on life. I buy quality - American Made if possible - and pay 2 to 3 times the Wal-Mart price and get a product that will last for years. Merrell shoes being one example.
Rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers are still sold in the Walmarts down South.
Perhaps it’s a state thing?
I mfg. tubular steel bar stools and restaurant seating and have no interest in having Walmart sell my product. I didn’t get into business to have a larger company dictate my every move,if you hire good marketing people there is no need for Walmart...........my goal is to enrich my bottom line not Walmarts!
“Merrell shoes being one example.”
I own a pair myself and can’t wear them out. I must have one of the original ones Made in USA. Purchased them at a church thrift store for $2.00 about 6 years ago and wear them nearly every day.
Unfortunately, they have outsourced, according to Wikipedia:
“In 1987 Merrell was purchased by Karhu. The new owners moved production of Merrell products to Asia, reducing retail prices and expanding sales.”
You mean to say that the guns my local wallyworld has on it's shelves are FOREIGN made?
Well; if YOUR company has multiple videos on the 'net, featuring fat-assed People of Your-Company Shoppers, would you NOT try to 'help' them to slim down some??
Heat up the oil TWICE as hot for THIS sin!
You'll have to wait your turn; as only one company is able to fit into the vat of boiling oil at a time.
That DOES it!!
I'm (BOVs; Inc.) going to increase production; add a larger size vat to the product line and reduce my prices on our newly designed, Green® heaters to take advantage of the trend I have seen developing in this thread.
All of which has made them more competitive in offering the best prices for consumers.
Walk into any Walmart and pick 10 any non food item at random. If you are lucky one will be Made in the USA. Walmart has been one of the most distructive job killing engines over the last 3 decades that there is.
Globalist BS mythology. Prove that.
Just like lowering tariffs to almost zero has caused massive off shoring of industrial production the opposite is then also true. It is just common sense. You cannot expect globalist to ever do anything in the best interest of the country in a holistic sense when they don't give damn.
If you want to continue to buy low quality slave made throw away products, poorly engineered and manufactured then don't worry about it. Socialism will soon take over and nobody will then have anything, pay now or pay later.
You’ll have to wait your turn; as only one company is able to fit into the vat of boiling oil at a time.
LOL!!
Good morning, dear, ignorant Johnny-One-Note!

I see the Free Traitor army is up early today!
So, is that bad?
If you can’t comply, sell to other customers
The reason Walmart is Walmart is because they pretty much know what will sell.
They make a profit buying, not selling
Well put.
