A stunning update on Friday afternoon from the Associated Press said the Pentagon is investigating possible Russian participationin the Syrian regime’s chemical weapons attack.
These officials also supported the dire suspicion that nearby hospitals were attacked to cover up evidence of the WMD deployment:
The officials say Russia has failed to control the Syrian government’s use of chemical weapons. They say a drone belonging either to Russia or Syria was seen hovering over the site of the chemical weapons attack Tuesday after it happened. The drone returned late in the day as citizens were going to a nearby hospital for treatment. Shortly afterward, officials say the hospital was bombed.
The officials say they believe the hospital attack may have been an effort to cover up evidence of the attack. The officials weren’t authorized to speak publicly on the matter and demanded anonymity. They say they’re still reviewing evidence.
According to CNN, the Pentagon is particularly interested in whether a Russian warplane actually conducted the bombing run on the Khan Sheikhoun hospital where victims were receiving treatment within hours of the attack, “with the aim of destroying evidence.”
There have been conflicting reports about whether any Russian personnel or aircraft, particularly helicopters, were present at the Sharyat airbase.
However, the Fox News report also quotes U.S. officials who said “between 12 and 100 Russian military personnel” were present at the base, complete with their own barracks, which the U.S. “took pains” to avoid blowing up. If the chemical weapons attack on Idlib province was indeed conducted from the base, it would be very difficult for the Russians to argue they were unaware a war crime was in progress under their noses.

They do, but nukes are way too strategically important for nations to want to give up entirely, although as you say I’m sure there are plenty of Dims who would be first in line to hand them over.
It’s a similar thing with landmines and clusterbombs - the amount of harm they can cause long after peace is declared is why a lot of nations banned their use.
Totally preposterous. Who makes this garbage up? I do know we have imbeciles in this country and around the world who believe this crap. We need to GTFO of Syria at any rate. How about we GTFO of the Mideast and concentrate on the Pacific Rim. The Norks are the biggest threat and China is acting reasonabley civil for the time being. Let Saudi Arabia and Iran sort it out. It’s not worth one American life or American dime let alone our reputation. The suck of the Mideast destroys administrations. WTH are we piggybacking on the Obama regimes mess and lies and following the chickenhawk Clinton/McCain/Graham idiocy? The lack of truth, intelligence and common sense is what gets people killed. It is time to reset how America works its foreign policy and intelligence agencies. The catch with that gas was it had not been well tested and they knew death was possible out come.

No one has mentioned, that just last week, ISIS attacked Mother Russia. It is safe to assume, that a clear message was sent to ISIS, about what terror really is. If ISIS attacks Russia again, I would not be surprised if WMD shows up on the battlefield again.
The media wants Russia to bring back Communism.

Mattis obviously is in on this attitude as well. It is insane that they cuddle up with the worst of the Saudis, who like us, have fostered and advanced the worst of the jihadists, but somehow we can’t have civility with a Russia that clearly doesn’t want to go to war with us.

Just last year a court found that the FSB was responsible for the poisoning death of a former KGB agent who had earlier spilled the beans on Putin and the Russian gov for staging terror attacks in their country. And no way in hell would the FSB have carried out the “hit” without Putin's knowledge and approval.
