Now it’s up to Gorsuch. I was encouraged by his refusal to give a break to the trucker stuck in the cold. Gorsuch said he couldn’t because the law said what it said. Compassion said to give the guy a break. The law said don’t move your rig. He moved his rig.

Gorsuch figured the difference would be made up at sentencing, but couldn’t be in the ruling.

He sounds like he actually is a textualist.

That cuts both ways, of course. Live by the text, die by the text.
