These are the first images of the carnage caused by Donald Trump's Tomahawk barrage on al-Assad's badly damaged airbase as Syrians thanked the President for the raid.
US missiles appear to have shattered hangars, destroyed at least nine Syrian jets, weapons and a fuel store, as well as leaving left giant craters in the runway at al-Shayrat military airfield near Homs.
Its radar system and surface-to-air missile defences were also damaged - but crucially the laser-guided missiles avoided the Sarin stores there.

I’m concerned about public reason for strike. “I saw pictures of children and had to act” or something like that. However, military strike like this is kind of Reaganesque.

I rather doubt the Syrians/Soviets are going to allow a comprehensive photo tour of the damage that we could use for post strike damage assessments.
Good points...Russia was informed this attack would take place so I would assume they agreed not to interfere. Not sure that agreement is open ended though.

Because Hitler suffered injuries (temporary blindness) from a gas attack in WWI. Note that he had no compunctions about using them on Jews, and others he considered undesirables, in the death camps. He simply didn't want the fighting forces of his superior race (said with dripping sarcasm) being attacked with them.

To your point, and my post above, it is not perfectly clear whose sarin it was. Presuming to know from afar may turn out to be a big mistake. Or not.
But not being sure and acting has put us on Isis’s side, just like the Saudis and Turks want.
