Complete Headline: Thank you, Mr Trump! First images of damage at Assads burnt-out airbase emerge as tearful Syrians cheer US missile raid
These are the first images of the carnage caused by Donald Trump's Tomahawk barrage on al-Assad's badly damaged airbase as Syrians thanked the President for the raid.
US missiles appear to have shattered hangars, destroyed at least nine Syrian jets, weapons and a fuel store, as well as leaving left giant craters in the runway at al-Shayrat military airfield near Homs.
Its radar system and surface-to-air missile defences were also damaged - but crucially the laser-guided missiles avoided the Sarin stores there.

The navy blew the Shayrat out of it!

I think one more clean up round is in order
I fear we’re being played as fools here.
I trust the Trump and his intelligence, though, until there’s evidence that shows otherwise.
Thank you, Mr Soros! First images of damage at Assad’s burnt-out airbase emerge
And those ships moved like a bat out of hell to get close enough to fire the missiles in the middle of the night.
We are good....inside and out.
To our military...Thanks guys! You make us proud.
Remember what Trump said to the media...."I'm not going to tell you what I'm going to do!"
Interesting article. Hmmm.
Good thing this attack helped build the wall and get our tax cut..!
this is great, right..?
Right....??
I hope Trump has concrete evidence for doing this...
Because Russia has cruise missiles too.
And really great SAMs on the ground.
And We are in Syrian airspace WITHOUT the permission of the Syrian government.
And who does Trump think will take power from Assad? ISIS? Another radical group?
From Bad to Worse.
Technology has advanced quite a bit since Gulf war II. We really are getting to a point where we can perform a LOT of military tasks with preprogrammed ordinance and remotely controlled aircraft with massive and precise firepower.
The reason it was so easy to get the public behind the anti war movement in the 60’s is that everybody had a loved one or friend that was killed or wounded in Vietnam. During the last gulf war, they just didn’t have enough body bags to exploit.
If it gets hot enough to do more than this kind of “one off” stuff, we’ll need much fewer men in harms way than ever before. During GWII, there was only very limited remote controlled vehicle functionality. Now anyone, for less than 100, can get a very effective video surveillance drone, and with it’s budget, the US military has incredibly sophisticated stuff.
i.e. every war, going forward, will put less and less men in harm’s way, effectively enabling military actions with ever shrinking risk to our young men. I’m not really sure this is such a good thing. The cheaper the solution, the more likely you are to use that solution.
God bless America!
Can Trump bill the UN for doing it’s job?
“I think one more clean up round is in order”
Agreed. I see buildings still standing.........can’t have it.
that’s President Trump...
Farage doesnt like it..and thinks many trump supporters woke up this morning wondering....
Thank you, Mr Trump!

The other side of that coin is that it also makes the other side look at those tactics.
We have a lot of soft targets here.
“Can Trump bill the UN for doing its job?”
I’d settle for a U.S. all expenses paid UN MOVE out of our country. That would be $$ well spent IMO.
Looks to me like very little real damage. Was this a “show” strike for political reasons? I think something else is going on.
