That may be true.....but again the idea is someone did indeed use sarin gas and the scenes of the people there trying to help adults and children is really shocking......Whatever discussions with nation leaders, because Trump just didn’t do this without some contacts, the airstrips etc. needed to be destroyed. How its all famed will be political for all concerned.
As long as no American lives were at risk, I don’t care what Trump does. So the military fires a few ‘toys’ at this airbase, we have enough money to buy more. I heard rumors over at DUmmieland that the Ruskies claim to have shot a few of our Tomahawks down, that will lead to studies to make them better, all to the good for us.
Yes, I would vastly prefer that Islamunists would just kill each other off, but sometimes, you just gotta prime the pump. It was important to let the American people know that where Obama was weak, Trump would be strong. And again, no American lives were put on the line for this show of power, whatever it accomplishes or not. That means something.

Where is the evidence that this was Assad? I haven’t seen it.
Neither have I—at least not all of it. But it' is being presented on the news: flight paths, aerial photos, etc. A prima facie case seems to exist.
I presume the President, the intelligence community, Secretary of Defense Mattis, the Chiefs of Staff, and all other relevant advisors and Cabinet members have seen the "evidence that this was Assad", and believe it to be convincing.
Do you really think this administration would act irresponsibly in this instance? I honestly see no basis for such conjecture...
Not to direct this at you specifically, but there is a lot of misinformation and lack of information on these threads:
1) The gassed area was NOT held by ISIS, it was held by the al-Nusra Front. These are not nice people either, but almost certainly IF al-Nusra had Sarin, it would be from Syrian Army stockpiles.
2) Sarin degrades rather rapidly in storage, but the precursor chemicals do not degrade as quickly, therefor to use a stockpiled weapon, the two precursors are usually mixed in the weapon (such as by the spinning of a shell, rocket, or bomb in flight), or they are mixed shortly before the weapon is sent on its way.) If one blows up the warhead without said proper mixing, the amounts of lethal Sarin gas produced are typically minimal because the mixing is poor and many contaminants are introduced. (A very crude analogy would be setting two cups of “A” and “B” epoxy components and a grenade together, then detonating the grenade. Not much well cured epoxy will come out of that event.)
It is not impossible that rebels were mixing or had just mixed Sarin as the air attack occurred, but it is rather unlikely.
It is also not impossible that the rebels fired a Sarin warhead shell or rocket into the “strike” area as the air attack occurred, but this also seems unlikely, and would be very hard to plan for. More likely they would either be taking cover or operating what AA defenses they had.
3) Once deployed, Sarin on humans degrades and disperses fairly quickly, but not immediately. For example, clothing exposed to concentrated Sarin gas can release said gas at dangerous levels for roughly 30 minutes. In this particular instance (Khan Shaykhun attack), apparently some first responders DID die from or were affected by contact with initial victims.

However, after an hour or so, victims generally are relatively “safe” to handle, assuming the Sarin gas in the area itself has dissipated.

This also shows the Middle East that Prewsident Trump supports the Sunni cause. This is very significant because Obama supported the Shiites in Iraq and in Syria.

Succinct response to trumps attack on Syria

1) Captured weapons. ISIS has reportedly captured chemical weapons too. The problem is the timing: It’s pretty unlikely a rebel group could launch a chemical attack to coincide with the air attack. Not impossible, but, unlikely.
2) Old info. Al Nusra is pretty much splitsville with ISIS (for some time now.)
3) Did you read the info. on Sarin?
Many people killed outside. Hard to do with small chlorine attack. Plus tissue samples, symptoms, etc. Sarin antidote helped (would not help chlorine gas victims.) Unless there is massive faking going on, at this point, probably 99% certainty it’s Sarin.
4) I have no illusions about what Al Nusra might do for propaganda purposes, but, in this case it’s the details of how they’d pull it off that make it look unlikely that they are the culprits. At a minimum, they’d have had to be tipped off about the airstrike, well in advance. ISIS probably has more capability, but was not in that town.
5) That’s a LONGGGG discussion. Basically, civilized (more or less) nations have agreed use of chemical weapons is a form of terrorism. Ditto for burning people alive in cages, hacking their heads off, etc. Uniformed soldiers shooting or bombing each other, not so much. It’s all where you draw the line. Some would consider it unacceptable if I shoot an intruder coming at me with a knife. Luckily, my gov’t does not, at least not yet.
6) Russia appears to have pretty much stood to the side, in return for us giving them “fair warning” and going to considerable effort not to harm their personnel. Plus, I suspect they have other reasons to let Assad get his knuckles rapped. (That’s another long discussion!)
Now, if Iran wants to get into it, that’s fine by me. It’s going to happen sooner or later, unless there is a big change in their gov’t. Better now, than when they have nukes.
The stated policy via Rex Tillerson is now to remove Assad from power so what is the plan if that policy is successful?
The Arab league and Turkey will have a hand in resolving very old tribal border disputes that exist in Syria and Iraq
