Remarks by President Trump to the Press -- Aboard Air Force One En Route West Palm Beach - April 6, 2017.

The sujects of Nork and Syria came up a few times in this back and forth. Worth reading the whole thing ...

Q And on North Korea, you had said in the -- interview that you're willing to act alone if China doesn't step up. What are you going to try to get from the Chinese?

THE PRESIDENT: Certainly, I would be. But I think China will want to be stepping up.

Q What do you want them to do specifically?

THE PRESIDENT: You're going to see. We'll be talking about it.

Q Have you told members of Congress --

THE PRESIDENT: The President just arrived. He just landed in Palm Beach, so I just saw that.

Q Mr. President, have you told members of Congress that you're considering using military action in Syria?

THE PRESIDENT: I don't want to mention that, but the answer is no, I haven't. ...

Q Mr. President, two questions. Do you think Assad should leave power? And will you discuss the Syria --

THE PRESIDENT: What Assad did is terrible. I think what happened in Syria is one of the truly egregious crimes and it shouldn't have happened and it shouldn't be allowed to happen.

Q Have you talked to Putin about this? Will you talk to the Russian president about what happened?

THE PRESIDENT: At some point, I may. I haven't, but at some point I may.

Q Just to follow on that, though, do you think that Assad should leave power in Syria?

THE PRESIDENT: I think what happened in Syria is a disgrace to humanity. And he's there, and I guess he's running things, so something should happen.

Thanks, folks, I'll see you in a little while.

And to reiterate, click on the link, it is worth reading the whole thing, and what is reproduced above is only excerpts.

Not directed personally to you, BTW, bobsunshine.

Understand that no matter who used the chemical weapons, it is not right. Period. But Trump did the right thing, he Punished the Weapons used - destroyed them and the planes. Now Obama had many red lines that weren’t to be crossed, but the dictators did just that. I think this happening with the President of China visit, this was another show of strength.

I think the Chinese Pres got a message tonight also.

Not sure he's too concerned, but I bet Fat Boy Kim is sweating a bit by now.

Works a deal with Russia to set up safe zones for refugees?

Trump just sent a very clear message:

Violate agreements and we will respond.

If you think Trump should resign over this or abandoned MAGA, then get a life

Onsite democrat sleeper cell aka ivanka-jarred and other globalist around trump are already diluting MAGA agenda.

We better hear about some pretty damning evidence that Assad was behind the chemical attack.

I’m not sure where I stand on this. I don’t understand why he was against this in his campaign. Did he ever mention the red line if he would attack Syria if they crossed it?

It’s a mistake on Trump’s part, IMHO. Fox reporting that we called the Russian military so they could evacuate troops from the base, Hopefully this is a one time message, not the start of a war.

From 50 to 60 missiles. At a safe distance I bet that was a sight to see.

He also demonstrated strength. No red lines pussy talk, this is what leaders of great nations do.

Those whining about “we didn’t vote for war” can go stuff it. Nobody votes for any THING. We vote for people who we trust to make the right decisions when the time comes. That is how a representative republic works.

You wanted a President who operates on the basis of focus groups and public opinion polls? Sorry the last one is term limited and the old hag lost.

You’d rather have a democracy where everyone gets to vote on everything? The link to DU can be found in Google.
