Police are searching for the suspect of a Saturday night carjacking, in which a man drove off with a womans car while she was filling it with gas at the Circle K Mobil station in Tewksbury.
Surveillance video from the scene shows the woman spraying gas at the carjacker with the fuel hose as he jumps into the drivers seat.

All she needed was a lighter.
Too bad she could not ignite it.
She should have HAD A zippo LIGHTER. THEY ALWAYS WORK.
I re-fuel close to home and all of the gas stations tend to attract shady types. Whenever I am pumping gas, I always keep at least one lighter in my right pants pocket ready to spray and ignite anyone who might attempt to assault me or steal my car. If the car ends up burning, that’s what I’ve paid Allstate all that money for.
woulda been a hell of a BBQ if she tossed a zippo
Take the keys out of the ignition when refueling.
I prefer to keep my hand on my SA XD Mod2.
I always locked my doors and put the key in the front pocket of my jeans while I pump gas...even in downtown my TN hometown...
Did she have the engine running or leave her keys inside how did he “drove off” ???
Same here. And I am always armed and looking around.

It’s a big country, and I feel for you. Good for you to be on your guard.
Where I live, I refill 15 miles from my home because:
1) It has ethanol free fuel
2) It’s a co-op and I receive a +/- 10% rebate each year
The worst thing I’ve ever seen there is a pissed-off horse in a trailer literally kicking the crap out of it.
I still have my protection with me, but living in a more rural situation makes me feel for you all the more.
Stay safe, FRiend!
Carjackers and home invaders need to be dead.
Same, I can’t believe anyone would leave there keys in the car like that.
It also appears she got run over in the process? And her car is going to reek for.... probably ever.
As a woman, I try to stay aware of my surroundings, and, even in my low crime area, I lock my car when I get out to pump gas.
When you go to a gas station, many have a large sign telling you to “please shut off your engine”. This is because of fire safety. It also damages your fuel system such as the catalytic converter. And that costs thousands. At the least it would cause the check-engine light to go one.
Gotta love country living. It’s much quieter out here.
She got him good, in the face. But she will never get that gas out of her car.

Ditto. Conceal carrying and keeping the keys with you (instead of in the ignition) avoids problems like this woman had.
