Fred put this on disk in 1952 as part of a compendium of his songs. It features a fine jazz interpretation with a string bass played arco (with a bow) at the opening. Oscar’s band is exceptional.

All day it has been about 34 and what is known in New England as “Wintry Mix”, cold, wet, slippery, sloshy, nasty, freezing rain.

But the pipes are OK.

I can’t play guitar because my tendonitis gas become too painful. I need to immobilize and rest my hand. So, Pub Nite is out for a while, and it is something I enjoy.

In 1926, Fred recorded this song with George at the piano. You actually get to hear George’s voice in a bit of dialog when Fred does his tap dance routine.
