it looks like it is much more that a screw-up.

The pickup truck driver was allegedly driving erratically, weaving in and out of traffic and crossing over the yellow lines.

That’s absolute negligence.

Do they know what happened? I wonder if he fell asleep, the witness said the truck started to act irratically and then crossed into the other lane. That young man is going to have a terrible time living with this

I’m guessing drugs, alcohol or fatigue.

“I’m guessing drugs, alcohol or fatigue.”

He is 20 years old?

How can he be fatigued?

Unless he had health issues. I wasn’t there so I don’t know

I haven’t read all the articles on it.

He was either drunk or feeling his oats, driving erratically for one of these two reasons or perhaps a health issue.

A corner being involved, my thought would be he was going too fast and couldn’t hold his lane, or realized he was going too fast and had to cut the other lane to keep from veering off the road due to centrifical force.

I agree with your take on it.

Thirteen deaths is quite a burden.

“That young man is going to have a terrible time living with this.”

That ‘young man’ may be facing 13 counts of Criminally Negligent Homicide

If he was intoxicated, that would be 13 counts of Intoxication Manslaughter

there were calls prior of erratic driving, then they came up upon the accident and said it was that white truck. He will probably get life in jail

What does being a former member of a high school football team have to do with anything? He 20 years old.

Sad story either way.

Seems like drunks have a high survival rate in these type of accidents. Here’s the one where 27 kids were killed.

I hope he wasn’t drinking, I just went through something like that on the road to Sadona. A woman kept nodding off but I guess she thought she could make it to her home. She crossed the line into a truck so she didn’t make it. I guess that’s what made me think of falling asleep because the witnesses said she had been swerving earlier. I don’t know why she thought it would take too much time to pull over for a quick nap

Oh, Jesus. What a pity. Sorry for the driver with a life time scar. I have 3 sons and even I was 20 once. The deceased will each RIP, I pray. Poor souls.
