Guess this “low temperature “ fire collapsing a bridge in only an hour will put to rest World Trade Center 1/2 diameter bars sagging and failing in 2001, 9/11.
I’m going to Macon on Saturday...
Which part of I-85 is this ???
I-75 runs into 85 for a part of the way through Atlanta...
After all isn’t it called ‘Hotlanta’?
so atlanta will beg for federal money because they burned federal highway down.
maybe trump needs to send them a bill for damages.
Not a rail car...
This will take at least six weeks to fix
south to Macon... will I-285 take me around the problem or is it south of there ???
Atlanta hasn’t had a big fire in over 150 years, they were overdue.
Must be #fakenews. Everyone knows fire cannot melt steel.
Love, Rosie
It was spools of fiber optic tubing or gas line lots of spools, lots of heat. Concrete beam supporting roadway essentially blew up from the heat causing the collapse.
No work for topologies ooo ooo!
Well then 285 should be fun this Spring and I’m sure dragging well into Summer. Certainly top end. Haha!
When I lived in Atlanta their was gas truck explosion that blew up the bridge between 400 north bound over 285 East.
They State worked around the clock and finished it in 3 months. That was the fastest I’ve seen them rebuild a bridge.
My last five years I worked from home. So I was no longer affected by the horrific Atlanta traffic. The only two metro cities worse than Atlanta are Washington DC and Los Angeles for traffic.
Didn’t the Muslim mayor of Atlanta recently boot the Fire Chief of the city for being a Bible believing Christian?
And the RINO governor of Georgia refused to protect Christian business owners?
Didn’t this happen in Philadelphia some years ago on I-95? A bunch of tires in a junkyard under 95 caught fire and the interstate collapsed?
They will rebuild that bridge in no time but once they do they will slow way down for any other project.
I remember how quick they put back the roads and bridges here in southern California after the 1994 earthquake.
Those danged Russians!
We had something similar happen at I-696 at Woodward ave in Detroit a few years ago. A Gas semi hit the median and evetually blew up, taking the overpass with it. Screwed up things for the better part of a year. I-696 is the trunk line Between I-94 and the western suburbs. What a mess. I feel for you, ATL.
