BREAKING: A large explosion has shocked the British city of Liverpool awake, with reports of two buildings having collapsed.
The explosion happened in the Wirral area of Merseyside, alongside the river Mersey.
Initial reports from the scene report the streets littered with debris and bricks.

There would have been no Christianity and no Renaissance, no Enlightenment and no United States of America. Islam would have conquered Europe had Charles Martel not beaten a much larger muslim army with his Franks.
Modernity would not have happened. History would have stopped in the 8th century.
The Americas would have still be populated by the original natives since the muzzies would never have developed the ability - or the interest - to cross the Atlantic.

We had a huge explosion in Seattle last year that was caused by a natural gas leak. I live in the suburbs eight or ten miles away, and it shook my house.
