Paul Ryan: Failure of Obamacare Replacement Makes Tax Reform Harder
breitbart ^ | JOHN CARNEY

Posted on 03/25/2017 8:46:50 AM PDT by davikkm

The White House tried very hard Friday to send a clear message that the success of President Donald Trump’s tax and infrastructure agenda does not turn on the fate of the Obamacare replacement bill. House Speaker Paul Ryan, only minutes after pulling his health care bill, appeared to at least partially contradict that.

“Yes. This does make tax reform more difficult,” Ryan said. “But it does not in any way make it impossible.”

Even though Ryan went on to say the House would “proceed with tax reform,” he appeared to be far less optimistic than the two top Trump administration economic officials who spoke earlier on Friday. White House budget director Mick Mulvaney and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin both had essentially the same message Friday morning: plans for tax reform, job creation, trade deals, and infrastructure spending remain intact regardless of what happen to the health care bill.

Standing on the White House lawn Friday morning, Mulvaney told CNBC that President Trump decided to stop negotiating with lawmakers over the healthcare bill because he “has other things he wants to do.”

“He wants to get tax reform done. He wants an infrastructure bill approved. He’s got other jobs programs moving through the White House,” Mulvaney said.

“Yes. This does make tax reform more difficult,” Ryan said.

Then get the hell out of the way.

Damn, man, what kind of dirt to 'RATS have on this guy?

So now he has his self-made excuse for not reforming taxes.

Trump went along with Ryan, from what I understand, to tackle health care first. Pretty easy to see the plan now - come up with a lousy health care bill that will fail and then blame all subsequent failures on losing momentum due to health care.

Voila - they’ve ended the Trump reform of our corrupt government.

Successful leaders find ways to succeed, not ways to fail.

Ryan is not successful leader.

If Donald Trump had Paul Ryan’s approach to getting things done, he never would have been more than the president of a local Rotary club.

Trump knows who and what Ryan is. Ryan’s days as speaker are numbered. The RINO holdovers are targets even though I am sure it is part of Trump’s agenda to ‘neutralize’ their obvious impact. It will take some time.

RYAN: You FAILED to just repeal.

You wanted to keep government in charge.

Trump should have someone loyal in the CIA figure out what they have on him and leak it to the internet. Game, set and match.

Ryan is handling it quite well for the Elites. That is who he works for.

That's painfully obvious now. Trump need to deal with this or Ryan will stall and sabotage tax reform, immigration, refugees, terrorism, and every other Trump platform issue.

Just another reason to push for an Article V Convention of States. The embeds in D.C. are not going to fix themselves.

The only way that what Paul Ryan says can be true is if Ryan cut some deals with some Republicans:

You vote my way on Ryancare and I’ll put a special paragraph in the Tax Bill for what you want.

Ryan was unable to keep that part of the deal. So now the deals he made to get votes are wasted. Now Congress critters will be more vulnerable to pressure from voters and lobbyists than vulnerable to Ryan.

Thus, it will now be harder to pass a Ryan tax bill. But a Trump tax bill? I suspect Trump cut no deals on Ryancare. He kept all his cards in his hand with the expectation to play his cards later.

It does only if the Ryno is allowed to stay in there. His failure to replace 0-care with Ryno-care isn’t going to increase his political capital.

Trump needs to press Ryno and tell him if you can’t do it now and with a deadline, someone else should.

Paul Ryan.. marching thousands of veterans to the VA gulag was your management amendment, your bill and trump was 100 percent behind you evil bass turds. Illegals choices.. veterans substandard care.. so don’t whine about the tax reform you never wanted in the first place. Resign & let the grown ups get to work and take you veteran backstabbers with you.

Why did the only ploy to end Obamacare have to carry the baggage of “replace”?

There are other ways to hasten the end of Obamacare, including one phrase scattered throughout the original legislation, “as the Secretary (of HHS) shall direct”.

The way to hasten the repeal of a bad law is to interpret it in the way the language is coached, and enforce it fully according to those precepts.

This phrase DEFINITELY puts too much power in the hands of one person, and if that person is your political opponent, there is no way this shall end well for the original architects of the law.

Ryan is a Uniparty eunuch who will do what is good for Fedzilla.
His purpose is to attend to the needs of Fedzilla as a loyal attendant.

CANTORIZE YOUR WEASELS, AMERICA!

It’s the only way the swamp gets drained.
WE have to stop electing weasels like Ryan.
