Are you ready for Barack Obama’s Birthday as a holiday on which government employees get a day off and schools are closed? Now that neither George Washington nor Abraham Lincoln’s birth is considered worthy of a national holiday, creating Barack Obama Day as a state holiday in Illinois would definitely make a statement. An insane statement, but when did that ever stop the Democrats?

I like that! A “reverse” federal holiday...or two or three. All federal “workers” must “work” while all of us who pay for them get the day off. It would be their way to honor us. Let’s call it “Boss’ Day.”

I doubt they’d close the schools - they’d all remain open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and daycare.
