With the likely failure of RyanCare on the horizon, the landscape of the Republican party may drastically restructure itself.
Ryans heathcare bill was supposed to be a full repeal and replacement of ObamaCare, but many conservatives have abandoned Ryan’s bill, citing it keeps many of President Obama’s policies intact.
As a result, President Trump modestly went to Capitol Hill and urged congress and threatened their chances of reelection if they fail to launch.
Paul Ryan barely received an endorsement from Donald Trump given Ryan’s stigma of being a Republican In Name Only.
Enter Trey Gowdy, the man who publicly lambasted Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, and James Comey.

The President rightly recognized that sometimes it’s better to walk away from a bad deal, and, for his trouble, there’s also a good chance that he can remove the obstructionist saboteur Paul Ryan from the board. If he was “all in” he wouldn’t have been willing to walk away, and he wouldn’t have forced Ryan’s hand.

Gowdy is OK, although he held a lot of hearings with little to show for it. I prefer Gohmert.

Can I refer you to the game of Chess. The Freedom Caucus is so ideologically stringent and surprisingly doesn’t understand the concept of a more complex long term strategy. They think they won the battle, but they just made it a whole lot harder to win the freaking war.
They have just aided the axis forces (democrats/progressive, news media and sheeple) and I would say are guilty of fratricide.

IMHO, Marsha Blackburn or Professor Dave Brat would be a better choice than Gowdy.
It certainly would be a good thing to cull RINOs and get in some fresh untainted small G’vt conservatives.

That’s exactly what we did in my district in 2014. Booted the weasel Eric Cantor before he could betray us with amnesty. Now there are a bunch of freepers who want to kick Dave Brat out.
I am proud to have helped elect him and will work to make sure he stays.

You’re right; Ryan has been a disaster. If McClintock’s warning had been, ‘Careful about ousting Boehner—the next guy could be even worse,’ he’d have been prescient. It wasn’t, though; McClintock just didn’t like the serfs rebelling against their betters.
