Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.
Ryan was caught on an audio file from Octoberobtained by Breitbart News and published a couple weeks agosaying he is not going to defend Donald Trumpnot now, not in the future. While the audio file does not make the comments clear, Ryans staff later claimed that it was specifically about the Access Hollywood tape scandal from the election. The audio tape of Ryan, recorded from a House GOP members conference call, does not make that context clear.
Many allies of the president and several White House officials over the weeks since have confirmed to Breitbart News that the president is concerned that Ryan may not have hisor his agendasbest interests at heart. Ryans failure to deliver the votes on healthcare cement Trumps skepticism of Ryan, they say.

Both would be excellent choices
I read of Ryan’s impending end early yesterday, written by many, but not so much by the end of the day.
Just an observation.
Agreed.
Speaker Ryan proved today that he does not have the best interests of the President at heart,>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Not only that. Ryan does not have the best interests of the People at heart.
Ryan would rather play Machiavellian politics, acting in bad faith by conducting an anti Trump grift of behalf of the e-GOP.
Ryan has to go. So does Mitch McConnell, who allowed the cabinet confirmation process go so slow. Both Unacceptable.
The people will not forget, and it will not be Trump who pays the price, it will be the e-GOP.
The One World loving puke needs to be replaced regardless, and NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent you FReep Mail..
First of all let’s stop characterizing this as a catastrophe. We know better. We’ve had such spectacular wins over the past few years...this was a temporary setback. A catastrophe is a Hillary Presidency. Obama was a catastrophe...
That said Ryan has proven is that he is calculating and shifty. He doesn’t have the ability to move the needle...he is meek and ineffective. An ultimate “safe politician”. We didn’t get here by being safe.
I would welcome his resignation which I feel should come somewhere within the next 3 months.
They need somebody articulate who understands the importance of defunding the Left in this country. Nobody compares to Gingrich on that score.
