The Twitter account of Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao briefly posted a peculiar tweet on Wednesday responding to Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, who has told President Trump to prepare for impeachment.
"SUE HIS VERY SOUL MAXINE!!!" Chao tweeted.
Chao's tweet was deleted after about 15 minutes.
"Get ready for impeachment," Waters tweeted Tuesday.
"The tweet was posted by an employee with access to the account. The employee took action outside of his scope of work and duties and without any approvals. We are taking appropriate action," a Department of Transportation spokesperson said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.
Could it be a hack job? Or possibly meant as a joke? Trying to extend the benefit of doubt here. 8>)
To wake you up !
Agreed. And thus my comment:
Having said that, not reading the post has been FReeper tradition for so long, it won't ever change...
Elaine Chao is an employee with access to the account.
SPOT ON !!!!!!!!!!!!
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...it was those pesky RUSSIANS. *snicker*
It was a concession to try to get McConnell as an ally. Not a bad thing to do, but Mitch is a worse snake than the President realized.
And just WHY should we believe THAT?
I don’t know. Today, there were freepers who don’t know who David Brock is. Some people live under rocks.
That's the obvious inference. The account manager probably deleted the tweet out of concern that it would be read they way dozens of baying freepers did.
I agree.
And if you read the totality of the posts, you would have seen that some of us are rejecting that idea.
Oh good grief....how is that possible? Oh never mind...I’ve seen worse, of late. :-(
With good reasoning behind us.
Amazing, right?
I suspect Chao - like that Comey guy - enjoys one too many margaritas at night and then gets frisky on her twitter account.
I agree with you regarding her husband, but I read the 'tweat' as dripping in sarcasm. But apparently I'm the only one who thinks that to be the case. If she was serious - yes she needs to be fired - but I believe it was just a polite 'FU' to the crazy Congresswoman from South Central.
Looks like an opportunity to bring up my proposal to move DOT to New Orleans.
Otherwise, there's no reason why anyone, here, should be happy that Trump won last November.
And IF ( BIG IF ), someone else used her twitter account ( yeah...and Hillary Clinton is a beautiful, kind, truthful, brilliant, caring woman ), then she is even MORE guilty, for allowing ANYONE else to know her info!
If this was an actual tweet by Chao, and not someone else who had access to her account, she needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY.
