The growing question in my mind is about what percent of this kind of reported crime are hoaxes--specifically one's reported by "progressives" or aligned "progressive" victim groups where the presumed perpetrators would be right wing. Reading the sources I do, I usually only hear about it when its found out as a hoax.
Of course it would be a hard study to make, since obviously a lot of hoaxes could remain undiscovered.

Gee, one would think that hate crimes against the people that actually receive real hate crime attacks are not real since so many have been falsely reported, and those press has failed to report on the real ones. Only the fake ones.

If it happens in some liberal upper crust enclave or a lib college campus, you can just assume it’s a hoax right there. There are no neo-nazis and kkk groups traveling into that territory looking for “hate crime” victims.
