Billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban criticized the Congressional Budget Offices use of a 10-year score to determine the effects of the Republicans' American Health Care Act and said the U.S. Constitution should be amended to make healthcare a right.
Cuban compared the CBOs use of a decade timeframe to the ABC television show Shark Tank, where he stars as one of the investors that hears pitches from business owners. He said one- to four-year timeframes are better but marginally predictable.

We CAN have universal healthcare but at best it is a benefit not a right. AND if it is “free”, eventually it will have to be rationed so at that point it is no longer universal. But this is “liberal think”.
A fundamental human right is something that can be exercised without obligating somebody else to be or do something. Healthcare does not fit this definition.
Mr. Cuban, do you know the enormous difficulties in getting an Amendment to the US Constitution passed? Not only does the original Amendment need to pass a two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress, but you need 38 state legislatures to pass it, too. That’s why the attempt to pass the Equal Rights Amendment died—they couldn’t get 38 states to pass it.
While we are at it we should make every human need a constitutionally guaranteed right. As a single old man I would especially appreciate government mandated female companionship of a sort acceptable to my curmudgeonly interests.
Make it a “right’ for everyone to share Mr. Cuban’s, and Mr. Cuban’s alone, wealth!
Like Speech is a right?
Excellent idea Mark. While we’re at it we need to take care of a few other necessities of life:
Universal Healthcare
Universal Foodcare
Universal Watercare
Universal Clothingcare
Universal Housingcare
Universal Childcare
Universal Incomecare
Universal Educationcare
Universal Transportationcare
Universal Entertainmentcare
...
A right is something that you can DO, which government is not allowed to interfere with. For example, the right to keep and bear arms, the right to speak, the right to worship as you choose.
An entitlement is something that you can compel others to provide to you. A "right" to health care, is in reality an entitlement to demand that others (taxpayers) labor to provide that to you.
Cuban can’t stand Trump being on the stage.Trump I believe truly wants to help America and put our folks to work. Folks like Cuban and the Democrats encourage people not to work by giving stuff away without having to work for it. This is a fallacy. The Democrat way has destroyed families and encouraged America to bring in another class of people to do the work our own people will not do.America no longer has a work ethic. I started to delivering papers about the time I was in the fifth or 6th grade and never being out of a job until I retired. I was taught to always look for a better job but not to quit one until I had another lined up.Our kids today get the best of everything without lifting a finger and now they demand free college. Think about it folks?
I’m with him on this one. But I want an amendment to first make a Sony Playstation a right!
Or even better, amend the Constitution to guarantee that everyone is a billionaire, never gets sick, and no one ever gets injured from anything.
And everyone gets a pony. Don’t forget the pony.
If a “right” means a right to have the government give you something for free, where is my free gun? I have a right to a gun, that means I have a right to a free gun.
Cuban’s no worse than Walmart. He’s a big supporter of “single payer”, i.e. government run healthcare. There’s no way in Hades he covers the thousands who work at this movie theatres.
Perhaps Mr. Cuban would like to become a philanthropist and underwrite this "right"...
It could be called "Cuban-Care"
Soros gots da goods on Cuban.
Despite his couple of billions, Cuban is a kept man.
The problem with leftists like Cuban, is that they don’t understand that the Constitution isn’t supposed to “make rights”, it was designed to ensure the U.S. Government doesn’t remove our “God-given rights”!
Anything the government gives/creates, the government can take away/remove!!
What a maroon!
if Drs arent going to make money then people wont become Drs and no one will be able to see one - unless you can pay huge cash out of pocket.
Cuban is stupid for a rich guy.
I think there should be a Right to go to NBA games free of charge.
It basically already is.
Show up at any emergency room and they have to treat you.
Nobody who walks into a hospital will be turned away... this is not about “healthcare”, this is about health insurance!
The left keeps conflating the two.
