It’s a weed killer to use instead of roundup :
1 gal of vinegar
1 cup salt/Epson salt
1 T original dawn
Put in a sprayer. I’ve only used on walks and areas at edge thus far.
My mom used to just buy a big jug of vinegar from Costco and pour that on the weeds coming through the cracks in the drive. Thanks for posting what you did - a gardener was on F&F recently and he suggested something similar (or possibly the same) but I didn’t write it down. I wonder if it would work on dandelions without killing the grass or nearby plants.
Thanks for the recipe. I’ll try it this year. I’ve used vinegar and rock salt separately. Epsom salt seems friendlier to pet’s paws.
There’s one spot in my flagstone walkway where the weeds have a stronghold no matter how much I pull them. I want moss to grow there like in the rest of the walkway.
Does the weed killer work good? Round up is so ridiculously expensive.
Well I didn’t have a timer but I’m doing things little by little just because I get so exhausted. I went and groomed the cats and then had to lay down. I paid bills and then had to lay down. I froze some chicken that I bought several days ago – now laying down. People told us the flu around here will last a couple weeks, yikes I don’t think I could last that long feeling this bad.
FYI,I mixed this potion once to get the weeds and my dog licked it and got sick.
