Job applicants for a Connecticut-based marketing company have a unique snowflake test to pass before being hired.
The Silent Partner Marketing firm is taking on liberal snowflakes in an effort to weed out the hundreds of applications they have received. The company has developed a survey to vet potential employees by asking key questions about themselves.

Sorry to hear that. The only understandable reason in my opinion.
I was thinking the same thing. They're pro Second Amendment and some their employees carry concealed. In Connecticut?! I simply can't imagine anyone other than a corrupt Democrat getting a concealed carry permit in that state.
Both “Witness” (by Whittaker Chambers) and “Blacklisted by History” (about Senator Joseph McCarthy) are two eye-openers, because the tactics used 60 years ago by the Left against Chambers and McCarthy are EXACTLY the same ones used today against their current foes.
And good reads, both. I like Ann Coulter’s books because she make liberals get spittle-lipped unhinged. This is a good thing...:)
The snowflake test should be a part of any government job application, especially teaching positions.
It’s okay to cry. It just needs to be appropriate: the loss of a child or a parent or spouse. I think shedding tears on 9/11 was appropriate.
Shedding tears because your candidate lost an election: not appropriate.
That is profound.
one simple question to weed out all of the snowflakes, what is your college degree in? That will tell you everything you need to know.
My youngest is still in college. When these reports started coming out about the snowflakes on campus with their safe zones to pet puppies I asked my daughter if it was going on at her college. She looked at me and said Dad, no way. I’m in the business school. People are high fiving each other that Trump won....
Really nice. I wouldn't have you in my HR department. I grew up in a Navy household and opted not to follow that path. I have spent 25 years as a DoD contractor supporting the military including NATO TDY software deliveries in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Turkey. I've spent many hours testing software on 11 hour P3 flights. My ports of tactical software supported troops in Haiti and Europe. I go to a city in Nebraska fairly often to provide support as well. You need to re-think your narrow focus.
“I think one can weed out potential trouble makers by rejecting all applicants graduating with a degree with the word Studies in it.”
Hey, my major in college was “Soviet Area Studies”!
DD, a college sophmore, made that same point the other day. I asked why I could not be a hipster and she said “Because your degree has ‘science’” in it.”
Unfortunately, you’re right. That test would produce a high number of false negatives and false positives.
Hate to say it, but I’ve known lots of vets of the snowflake inclination.
Someone I know once hired an applicant who had “Seabee” on his resume when he was otherwise less qualified than others because he knew the guy would tacked anything. He wasn’t disappointed.
Cool. Which squadrons? I'm a retired P-3 PPMC.
ROTF LOL
When was the last time you cried, and why?
How about, “When was the last time you used a safe room, and why?”
“Are you now or have you ever sought help to cope with the idea Trump is president?”
“When was the last time you called your mother crying, and why?”
“When did you move out of your mom’s basement?”
Thanks.
I just sent this to our younger relatives who interview and hire.
bkmk
If I was in a snarky mood, I would’ve answered, “when Old Yeller died.”
When I was in the Army, they played TAPS when they shipped the body of a fallen Soldier {buddy} back to the states.
I was 18 and ever since then, regardless of the circumstances, when TAPS are played, tears flow, can't he'p it, and make no apology for it.
I cried when Obummer was elected. Twice!
