Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Sunday said he agrees with President Trump that 2018 will be a "bloodbath" for Republicans if Congress does not pass legislation repealing and replacing ObamaCare.
I do believe that if we don't keep our word to the people who sent us here, yeah, Ryan told CBS Newss Face the Nation, when asked if he agreed with Trumps reported comments about the 2018 midterm elections.

Thank you for the informative post, 9YearLurker!
Yeah, I’m beginning to think Ryan-Care stinks too.
And I’m increasingly convinced that Ryan gave Trump a private threat: ‘If you want tax cuts, you best do your darnest to sell my healthcare bill.’
Probably an implied threat, but that’s what I think is going on.
One way we can drive wedges into socialized medicine is by bringing up examples of ...
GROSSLY SELF-INFLICTED HEALTH PROBLEMS.
I mentioned someone who eats his way to 700 pounds or the guy that deliberately chops off his leg for disability.
Here’s another:
A creep who shoots at a police officer and suffers from a crippling wound. The guy had shot at law enforcement — why should the government pay one penny to treat him after he’s found guilty? Let private charities help the creep out. By shooting at cop he might as well have shot himself.
You likely are right—Ryan is tied to these horrific, worse-than-they-already-have “reforms” of his. But note, he’s got McConnell playing bad cop already, saying they won’t move on taxes before the fall. That easily could become the spring and then not until after the midterm—when the GOP could well lose the House.
Also, it looks like Newt is back to being a full-on GOPe stooge—spreading the lie about the GOP-run congress being at the mercy of a held-over Democrat parliamentarian.
I never trusted Priebus but frankly I don’t know the Beltway like you do — you think Pence is another snake-in-the-grass?
Disappointing about Gingrich, but the man does seem to slip from one side to the next at times.
I suspect that McConnell is the real gopE puppet-master when it comes to congress. He’s probably got Ryan’s ego puffed up like a balloon and egging him on to be more public about their rotten schemes.
Ryan foresees ‘bloodbath’ if GOP fails to pass healthcare legislation
This snake has to go! Why he didn’t get primaried I don’t know. Must be his boyish looks.

Someone needs to find out just who bought and paid for his vote.
Time to RECALL RAT BOT RYAN.....
He’s a WORTHLESS P.O.S.
Count me in on the Robinson Doctrine, President Trump.
He's correct a bloodbath is on the way.
If you think no repeal will anger the base, consider what this cr@p sandwich will trigger.
Ryan had to be persuaded to take the job. That told me he was the wrong man to fill it. The position and the nation require a leader and Ryan isn't.
Leadership is not telling conservatives to sit down and shut up.
Ryan almost has it right...
There WILL be a bloodbath if the Republicans don’t repeal Obamacare.
Soros
Other than Ryan looking like pugsley he should tell why he predicts all this disaster and also tell us why two years ago a repeal was passed but vetoed by barky but without reconciliation and all the other crap he is mouthiung about.
Look at the Flynn affair. Supposedly Flynn apologized to Pence repeatedly, but Pence took it to the press and forced the issue.
Then, this week, Pence presumably lied in claiming that he had no knowledge of Flynn’s lobbying for Turkey in the fall—yet Flynn’s attorneys informed the transition team that Pence headed up about it.
Pence and Ryan are very, very good friends. Pence is at best Trump’s Poppy Bush—and Reagan of course just ducked death early in his first term.
The times do not call for a bean counter, but a leader. Ryan is not.
BTW...Those Reagan Democrats...That proved Reagan wasn't a conservative, right?
Thank you for your time! I have you listed as a ‘go to guy’.
FRegards ....
The Republicans seem to be self inflicting wounds, if they didn’t have a workable plan ready, they should have just REPEALED Obamacare effective Dec 31, 2017... leaving the option to extend another year... then worked on the replacement during this time, instead of the way this thing seems to be getting handled.
Secondly, I really think they should have passed TAX REFORM, and could have easily, perhaps not a full bill, but the highlight points of Trumps Plan... lowering rates, and removing certain taxes.. and gotten 2 easy wins quickly.
I can tell you this, if the Republicans try to gut Medicare at the same time they replace Obamacare, I don’t care what the replacement looks like, they will be destroyed, IMHO.
I am not following this whole thing all that closely honestly, because most of what is being reported is garbage, all the way around, but anything short of a full repeal of Obamacare will get them flushed... Trump’s promise will go the way of the dodo quickly.
He's already breached the contract with a SCOTUS selection in the spirit of Sandra Day O'Connor. Scalia would be appalled by the background of the man named to replace him.
And believe me, nothing would have made me happier if Trump HAD "kept his promise" to name a pro-life Scalia type judge. If he had chosen someone like Judge Jennifer Elrod, Mike Lee, or Charles Canady, I would have been forced to admit I was wrong to doubt him.
But he didn't.
