You are echoing Krauthammer who said the other night that big entitlements never go away.
Agreed, he comes off like a strange mentally ill guy who does not have a clue.
They’re going to have a field day, anyway. Might as well do it BIG!
Or even less. And once they have served in either house that’s it!! No more bouncing from Senate to House.
Could well be....
I wish I knew where all this was going. I dont have a clue. Great to hear from you Art.

Hey Rod!
Yeah, not giving up at all, it’s just not knowing if there’s some grand strategy going on here. Trump’s been doing great so far, guess we’ll have to watch and wait.
BTW, hope you’ve been well!
I have been SCREAMING this EXACT thing all over this site!! There is NOTHING MORE LYIN RYAN would like than to knock Trump down a notch LYIN RYAN has NEVER been on Trump team NEVER!!! The ONLY damned thing LYIN RYAN and GOPe give a damn about are K-street and their BIG donors!! Trump PROMISED NO Lobbyists and donors involved in legislation!! You can ALL bet your bottom dollar K-street WROTE this bill!!!
The only thing worse than this plan is no plan, effectively ending Trumps presidency and the only party that has any chance of maintaining the last vestiges of Americanism. Period. There is only, work with who and what we have now, if we wait and let Obamacare fail, guess what? The Republicans get the blame, the loons and Americans will agree. It’s now or worse. We’re not ever returning to 1964.
1. Repeal OBAMACARE/TrumCare - who voted for what anywhere in the past - AS IN Yesterday is irrelevant.
2. Pass TrumCare with Ryan's and RINO votes both in the House and the Senate - Welcome to Communist USA.
We will be in the same shape as Venezuela is today and Eastern Europe was in the 60s and 70s in a very short time - 20-30 years
Being controlled by Apparatchiks will leave you with nothing on the store shelves, waiting lines for horrible medical care and alcoholism, drug abuse run rampant
And of course who wishes/wants to work when all of your money goes to the G'ment as Taxes for that wonderful G'ment provided health care
Yeah doing fine Art thanks. Finally got to go fishing the other day, really nice to get back on the water.Hope all is well with you.
If the Repubs did what you said it would be the end of the Democrook Party. Don’t believe any of the fake polls, the voters hate Obamacare and would reward the Repubs for taking a stand.
It is so much easier to say gummit will solve this problem than the free market. Nobody can explain how the invisible hand of capitalism works let alone trust it.
The people have been trained to believe govt is all caring and capitalism is all greed.
You mean you don’t trust Paul Ryan 2020?
Thanks and I agree. What is so frustrating is that the House under Ryan has no problem passing a bill killing o-care with Obama in office, knowing he won’t sign it but gets real soft when he’s gone.
Symbolism over substance.
Here is you-tube with Judge Jeanine Pirro explaining Preet’s word parsing. It is safe to say she does not like this man!

Sunday political talk shows
First of all, the Russians seemed to have disappeared from the Sunday political talk show circuit this week!
It was mentioned, but briefly and not all the time, every second.
This is mostly, let’s face the truth folk, because of Trump’s shocking tweet last week that he discovered the Obama administration had been bugging Trump Tower.
Sure everyone’s asking for proof and I’ve no doubt that Trump and company have something.
But it sure shut up that constant drone about the Russians stealing the elections, which was never true.
So there you have it, a quick summary and notable notes on the Sunday political shows made more revealing but what the pundits DIDN’T say then by what they did.
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; Gary Cohn, White House economic adviser.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GotaoYZZkso
Rep Jim Jordan somewhat admirably defended the notion that the health care plan as currently proposed by Republicans is not suitable. While the good congressman is affable and has a nice smile, he didn’t present any CANNOT HAVES or MUST HAVES, telling us, the audience , that legislation must be negotiated in order to notate those items.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price; Gov. John Kasich, R-Ohio.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g96r0NSrYlE
We have John Kasich, he who never met a camera he didn’t like, on and pontificating about all things that are not his concern.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis.; Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=angMgXV2XmI
My goodness Rand Paul is not happy with Ryan’s health care plan although once again, those who don’t like it are very vague about what they don’t like and why.
Not that Paul Ryan was any personification of glibness. He too danced around any request for specifics.
THIS WEEK (ABC): White House budget director Mick Mulvaney; Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.; Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Elijah Cummings, D-Md.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3G2k_-MqKU
The Sunday political talk show star of today is House budget director Mick Mulvaney.
The biggest thing Mulvaney brought to the argument was a better explanation of this so-called “medicaid expansion” thing.
Seems Obamacare is arranged to have medicaid expand annually across the country to better help the states deal with fiscal issues caused by this massive health care change.
Mulvaney declared that medicaid recipients are normally not lifetime players, that they drop out after a little less than five years.
Well I didn’t know that, assuming it’s true.
Judging by the way Mulvaney handled his interviews today I am very impressed by this Trump pick.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Mulvaney; Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Cory Booker, D-N.J.; Reps. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., and Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill. (Note: FINALLY someone from the Trump Admin appears. CNN=Still Fake news!)

I’m going to say something nice about John McCain today because he too never met a camera he did not like.
On his interview today with Jake Tapper, McCain was not too horrid with President Trump, who McCain does not like, that’s been obvious for quite a while.
McCain is known famously as a middle-of-the-road guy, a crosser of the aisles.
He came across as a fair and decent partisan as concerns Trump’s bugging allegation.
Still, one could almost see his eyes rolling around in his head.
McCain wants Trump to fall and crash so bad one can almost see that movie play on his face.
You screwed up~ You’re supposed to set your clocks FORWARD, not back!
Great job, Fishtalk!
Thanks for posting the video links to this morning’s shows, and great comments, too.
Oh my goodness. Whatever will I do :)
