No you are right. It isn’t because Trump doesn’t have a plan this is Ryan’s plan and it is worse than Obamacare. As to parts 2 and 3: What are exactly parts 2 and 3? You seen them? You certain they exist or just to buy time? If I ever ran in a presentation with my current job and just spit out the same words with not even a scintilla of a high level overview of what parts 2 and 3 were I’d be frog matched to the front door.

I believe some are gulliable into believing something exists without proof. It pays to ask when someone makes a statement about additional plans to put them to task to show it.

Well, let's take a look at the facts: It appears the Senate ALREADY passed a FULL REPEAL bill over the objections of Susan Collins ( 2015: Senate passes Obamacare repeal, Planned Parenthood defunding bill, putting Republicans on record

The ONLY "RINO buddy" who joined her in opposing the Senate Republicans last time around was Mark Kirk... and he's no longer in office now.

So, based on the facts, its already been established that Senate Republicans can muster a majority to vote for FULL REPEAL, no matter how much Susan Collins cries about it.

You’re assuming that isn’t happening - it is.

Maybe I'm not getting around the site as much as I should, clicking in the right places. I've seen a smattering here and there of someone posting that they have contacted their Congressman and so forth. Haven't noted any threads with a heading like "CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN....!!" floating around - even looked under Activism/Chapters & Free Republic (News/Activism) - nope not there. Or maybe I've somehow missed them.

In addition, the fact is many in Congress and the President himself read and consider FreeRepublic when gauging conservative sentiment. You can bet they’ve taken note that “people are sincerely upset”.

Pro-active contact initiated by citizens is what gets the job done. Expecting posts on an internet site to equal that kind of pressure is a rather poor assumption and a projection of inadequacies.

Try not to project your own inadequacies so much; it’s not helpful.

LoL - speak for yourself. Being lectured by anonymous strangers over the internet who don't know a thing about me is always good for a laugh.

I just told you that many of us already are contacting our representatives. I know this for a fact.

You, on the other hand, assume everyone just sits behind a keyboard and complains. You know what they say about ‘assuming’.

And yes, those inside the Beltway (both parties) lurk on FR to get a feel for what the conservative base is thinking. If you think that doesn’t have an effect, you’re mistaken there as well.

Fact is, you’re wrong on several levels.

You need to get out more. But first, take two aspirin and get back to me in the morning.

Well - guess I've now been notified. So, you have a running official tally of who, then. The "many of us" blanket statement doesn't quite cut it.

Um yah, I may know of a couple of that sort - but that still doesn't translate into a direct application of pressure, and in the right places. Maybe you're all comfy with such a passive approach, but I'm not.

Ah, more lecturing - medical advice this time. If you were as snarly with the Congresscritters as you are with me perhaps there'd be a lot more headway to be made.

Trump has always delivered on his promises up to this point. I don’t have the time to tick off his accomplishments so far.

I already laid out the case that this is Ryan-care, and it would be slander to call it Trump-Care.

Ryan lied to Hannity to boot, so while Trump needs to appear friendly in public and needs to work with whoever the Republican House Speaker happens to be — THAT is no reason to blame him.

I’m sensing the old Patomac Two-Step here. Drop a stink bomb, try to ram it through while opposition is confused, and plan ahead to pin it on someone else — usually the guy you hate the most.

Classic DC politics.

Oh, didn’t mean to duck your question.

Phase 2 and 3 is carrying out Trump’s promise.

This makes me think of Reagan getting stuck with Amnesty. Congress promised him that after amnesty he would get a secure border. But they two-stepped him. To this day the Establishment points out that Reagan supported amnesty.

Full repeal was easy back when Obama was president. Whole different animal now.

We are going to find out how committed the President is to those who elected him.

Yep.

And when (not if) he supports it, I wonder what the apologist response will be?

We shall see how intellectually honest the Trump supporters here are, because it's a guarantee. He's going to support this compromise. It's called "the art of the deal".

Thank you so much for the post. I think this will get his attention, you have credibility and clout.

RinoCare is the wrong move.

>> Full repeal was easy back when Obama was president. <<

In other words, Republicans have the votes to pass Full Repeal no matter how much Susan Collins cries about it.

They just lack the willpower to do so if Obama isn't there to veto it.

Pretty much my point from the beginning.

‘In other words, Republicans have the votes to pass Full Repeal no matter how much Susan Collins cries about it.’

That’s your take. Good luck with that.

I’m with you 100% but it would pay GREATLY to show the public precisely what phase 2 and 3 are. Regardless if it has 100% of what Trump wants in it I still want to see what Trumps plan is. On the trail he stated he wanted to fully repeal Obamacare and replace it with a great plan. That is all he would say is that it will be a great plan without details. I know at points in his career he’s been for Universal care. To which I don’t agree.

If I were Trump I’d take no promises from Congress and make them put up or shut up. Reminds me of Wimpy I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. For if he signs it with those promises (as with Reagan) he owns it.

As Regan would also say trust but verify :-) I miss him.

Then give them their money back, with interest, and close shop. Medicare needs to go.
