Worst Humanitarian Crisis since 1945
Twenty million people at risk of starvation in Somalia, South Sudan, Yemen, NE Nigeria.

My Congressman, McClintock CA 4th, represents rice farmers. All these countries eat rice.
We pay farmers billions not to grow food. No starvation is natural. All starvation is man-made geo-political manipulation, slow motion murder for political power gain.
Please ask the President to declare an international crisis. A new Marshall Plan for Africa.
Bomb them with food. What a positive PR blizzard for the Trump Administration.
Exactly right. Christian countries adopt the attitude of the Apostle Paul (”if [an able-bodied] man shall not work, he shall not eat”) and Jesus, the hard-working carpenter.
BenLurkin, i think i’m in *love*.
I could not agree more.
What would Jesus do ?
>The concept of Christian charity (yes,I understand that you may not be Christian) suggests otherwise.
I’m out of cheeks and free money for the fester filth of islam. They can breed at the rate they can feed and be responsible or wither away.
God did not make me a sucker for lasy, evil and criminal.
Yep. We can’t do a thing if we allow Islam to flourish. Sending “aid” goes directly into the arms of the Islamists so they can kill and control the Christians, and good people, etc.
With evil cultures-—there is no ability for freedom since vice creates slavery only. Only virtuous people can be free and flourish. Vice leads to complete slavery. It is why the cultural Marxists took control of our skools and universities so they could destroy virtue formation in all children.
When we understand basic philosophy which formed Western Civilization and led to individualism and private property rights and free will (only Christian Worldview), then maybe the politicians would understand that they only aid the evil controllers (The Deep State who wants tyranny over all the masses so they can have billions killed at their whim). They need evil to control EVERYTHING....because evil people can be bribed easily.
Of course, most in power in USA now are controlled; They are puppets of the Deep State (Paul Ryan, Rubio, McCain, Cruz, etc). They sold their souls so their families wouldn’t be killed and will have riches beyond their dreams and be able to keep their “jobs”. If they weren’t on their payroll, they would be marginalized and demonized and destroyed.
when someone is hungry, i do not ask him what religion he is. i share whatever i have. i too am worried about the dire situation in this region and hope we can help. surely we have surpluses stored somewhere that could be of use. i do not want people dying of starvation on my conscience.
They have Trump confused with Obama.
Trump is the one who DOESN”T think he was elected King-Of-The-World.
You feed them, they have more babies. Next year they’re starving again and you repeat the process and bring part of their excess population over here where they start breeding on welfare. It’s Haiti all over again.
That’s right. Eliminate the warlords and overlords and you eliminate mass starvation. The question is despite how disgusting it is, does Trump want to use military action to accomplish this goal.
Please take you guilt trip to a more liberal forum where emotions rule the day.
Charity is a personal thing and evidently you do not understand the concept.
It is wrong to do nothing and let victims starve to death
A ship is sinking, there are not enough life boats. There are hundreds in the water but the life boats are at capacity.
If more climb into the boat, all are lost.
It is wrong to do nothing and let victims drown! But attempt to save more means everyone drowns. Life choices are always hard.
The United States can not support the entire world. It has been obvious for years now that misguided charities have made the conditions in Africa worse.
The solution must come from their own people.
But feel free to sell everything you own, empty your bank accounts and send it all to Africa if it makes you feel noble.
You must not be a Irish. You sound exactly like the British who through their inaction allowed over 1million people to die of starvation.
It is wrong to use food to power a Cadillac
Which African nation? There were 4 listed. Somalia was never a Christian nation.
Did any of you have the same attitude toward helping the people of Louisiana and Mississippi after Katrina...or helping people in Tornado Alley after a dozen F5s roar through Texas,Kansas,Missouri and Iowa?
We don't need to necessarily donate, although people did. Our system and our heritage in helping others have made it so that we don't have to "rely" on help from the outside world, which is why no other countries donate to the U.S.
Africa's problems are their own. Even the great European intervention in 1914 tried to bring the continent up to speed. That's why Europe intervened and tried to make them self-sufficient, so the hordes won't come to their land like they're doing now.
I should give a rat’s a$$ for all those marxist bastards that hate us. Nah, no more.
If all one does is eat and “breed”, the choices are starve, war, beg.
Begging is the winner at the moment.
Let the first Third World pope move to Africa and demonstrate some real problem solving skills.
Aha! I thought that would be at,or near, the center of the anti-aid attitude here.So I spent a few minutes on wikipedia checking the religious makeup of various "central" African countries.
Listed by country and percent of population being Christian (according to wikipedia):
Uganda 85%
Nigeria 50%
Ethiopia 60%
Democratic Republic of Congo 95%
Tanzania 60%
Kenya 80%
Ivory Coast 45%
Cameroon 70%
Zambia 95%
Yes,there are moslems in North Africa and East Africa. But the rest of the continent is substantially Christian.
The second solution is trickier. Africa did not starve prior to the appearance of the Europeans. Clearly, we need to withdraw European contamination, starting with Western medicine, the germ theory of disease, and understanding of waterborne diseases.
Two simple solutions.
